On 9/6/2012 a man named Ed Ceriani was selling cases of meat door to door.  He came to our house and showed me what he had and stated that if I tried the meat and did not like it I would get a full refund of the sale.  We agreed on a price of which I charged it and after much thought and looking into the product, I decided to cancel my order within the 72 hours that the law gives me to do. In fact I emailed the company on 9/8 that I was canceling the order and wanted Ed to stop by and pick up the entire order. Todd Boss called me on Sat. 9/8 and stated that he did not have a Ed Ceriani that worked for him.  When I tried to talk to him he cut me off continually and said he would call me back.  He called back and had Ed on the line and he asked Ed what his last name was  and Ed noted "Ceriani".  I then talked to Ed and he asked me if I had tried any of the meat and I stated no and Ed stated again to eat one of each item to see if I liked that meat and if I decided to keep the meat he would give me a $50 credit on my card.  I then tried the meat and did not feel it was worth the money paid and emailed Todd to have Ed pick up the meat for a full refund on Monday, as Ed had promised.  Todd then emailed me that Ed had stated that I would get a $50 credit if I returned the meat of which is untrue.  

I paid $150 for the case of which Ed said he would give me a $50 credit  to bring down the price to $100 if I chose to keep the meat otherwise I would get a full refund and he would pick up the meat remaining.  Monday came and went and as of today 9/12 I have heard nothing. After checking with the town I live in, to see if Ed had a license to solicit, I was told no he did not but the police dept. has had several calls about this and  is investigating this incident.

This customer was contacted a number of times to handle the situation the first time being five minutes after the first email was recieved. This did take about a month to get resolved because there were numerous attemts to pick up the food and issue a refund but the drivers and customer were never able to meet. The company went as far as offering to do a refund over the phone prior to picking up the food but the customer declined the offer. Although Windy City Quality Foods, Inc. feels we tried our best to resolve this situation as best and quickly as possible we appoligize that we let this customer down.

On 10/12/2012 Ed Ceriani showed up to our house and picked up the product and gave me a credit on my charge card for the full amount. Ed did indicate that he was not told until 10/11 to pick up the meat, even tho I had asked Todd on 9/8 to let Ed know that on Monday, 9/10 that I would be returning the meat to Ed for a full refund.                                                                                                                                      
On 10/17/2012 a credit was issued onto my acct. and I will be getting a letter from them stating this.

Therefore, this matter has been resolved after many emails and phone calls placed after this 
complaint was made.
