The company was openly hostile to minorities, especially minority women as well as elderly women. The company wanted only young and fit employees and would randomly go on firing sprees to terminate older employees as well as minorities and those employees viewed as being "out of shape". Management was young, inexperienced and very vindictive. Especially manager Melanie Pellegrino. The owner of the Company, Wingspan's CEO, Steve Horne, handpicked favored employees and family and placed these individuals into management with no experience or sensitivity training on working with a diverse workforce.
I have never seen such a powerhungry, ruthless, group of individuals ever in my life. There was no job security and the individuals mentioned above were very paranoid. If you complained about having to LIE to Bank of America customers you were automatically terminated. These people would do anything for money and would destroy you if you were deemed a threat by outing them.
I can't sleep now. I can't eat. My hair is falling out and I have stomach ulcers thinking about how I took part under their direction at ruining people's lives and forcing people out of their homes unncessarily. Bank of America customers who trusted us to help them keep their homes and yet we would LIE and management would alter documents to push these people out of their homes. I knew what I was doing was wrong but they, Management, especially Justin Belter, Melanie Pellegrino, David Payne and Kevin Conn, would hold the threat of immediate termination over our heads to get us to comply.
While working at Winspan Portfolio Advisors, they would also force the hispanic cleaning staff to monitor the bathroom usage of employees. Wingspan at the time had started hiring more blacks due to the large demand (or else they would not have done this in my opinion as the company and its mgmt were overtly racist) and because there were more minorities working at Wingspan for some time the management started to complain about everything and anything the blacks did. This is why they would force the hispanics and mexican janitorial staff to monitor the restrooms and to often sit in the restrooms.
Management, specifically Justin Belter and Melanie Pellegrino were openly hostile to blacks and very racist. You were nothing at Wingspan unless you were a white male. White males could walk into Wingspan with the minimum qualifications and get hired and promoted overnight. Blacks would have to come in with experience and education. There was no job security for blacks and blacks were always the first to be fired, regardless of the job they did. Manager Kevin Conn would work to set up individuals so that they would be terminated.
Wingspan Portfolio Advisors was the Worst Company to Ever Work For and Bank of America and the other contract providers to this company should be ASHAMED for throwing their customers under the bus by using a company whose management instructed its Employees to LIE and fired them if they DIDN'T. THIS FORCED GOOD PEOPLE TO LOSE THEIR HOMES!
