I ordered a wand from this company in August. My order number is 942470. It was ordered under my sons name Bryce Baze. He picked out how he wanted his wand and we put in the order. He kept checking the mail every day once we realized it had been two months and no shipping confirmation I knew there was a problem. As you see on here the only time any of these customers received their wand was once someone put a bad review on here. My son is only 7 and he is very sad and he keeps telling me that this company stole out money. These people are disgraceful.

Rebuttal for Robert in Irvine

AUTHOR: Magix - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 08, 2012

This is in response to Robert, in Irvine

This has happened to me on about four occasions. No, it does not happen often but mistakes do get made. In the past, I used to use glue the back of the shipping labels, because the usps instructions say not to cover the barcodes. But when the glue gets heated, the label begins to peal and gets torn during shipment, and once completely fell off. I had the label returned in the mail in a plastic baggy with a sorry note from the post office. The package it was attached to was never seen again. So I began taping over the labels with clear packing tape. If there are too many folds in the tape the barcode is difficult to scan. In which case, the post office is supposed to enter the numbers under the barcode manually. Sometimes they do not do this, yes even at the facilities. I have had two successful reuses of the shipping label when it returns in the mail. But in this particular case, I found the original label in a pile of paperwork and was able to use it. It was a confusing order because the form was labeled as shipped with a tracking number but was not in the system. But I did not have the wand either.  Most likely, the wand was shipped to the wrong address and that person didn't report it. When the second wand I crafted returned, I reused the label as it had not been scanned. I used an exacto knife to remove the label and rewrap the package. My old post office would allow me to do this, as I knew the workers for a long time and had been going there for years. You can smooth down the tape folds with your finger nail and it usuallu fixes the problem. I was able to do this with this customer's package. Here is another recent example of the post office not scanning barcodes:

You entered: EO885985702US

Your Item's Status Your item was delivered at 4:40 pm on December 22, 2011 in PANAMA CITY, FL 32405. Waiver of signature was exercised at time of delivery

This package was dropped off at the post office in Panama City, FL (where I live) on December 22 around 3:00pm. It was an Express Mail label (Overnight). The package was going to Alpine, UT 84004. The customer contacted me the next day after the package had not arrived. I drove to the post office to check my PO box and I also went to my old address as the scan shows that it was delivered here in Panama City. I could not find it so I reassured the customer that the post office sometimes makes mistakes and that it should be on the way. Priority mail was running a day or two behind and I was sure that Express Mail probably was too. This was two days before Christmas Eve. She did finally receive it on the 24th, luckily the mail was running on Christmas Eve. As you can see by the label, none of the facilities it passed through scanned the barcode, nor did the delivery driver at time of delivery.

I hope this helps to clarify what happened. No one is perfect. Mistakes get made. But the end result is that the customer did receive the wand they purchased. I do apologize for the long wait and misunderstandings, and also the mistake I believe I had originally made with the order form. Who knows, maybe the first wand will show up one day. I have no idea where it has gone to but do know it was crafted and shipped. I am not out to scam anyone. I do like the idea of posting a note on the custom pages that the wands are backlogged. I had hoped that posting the crafting time would let the customers know that it takes time to custom craft products. But I don't want to scare customers away either from ordering a unique wand. The wait is long. I think the customer's idea of emailing every weook or so to update on the status is something I will do in the future. I am always looking for ways to improve. Thank you.

Tracking Numbers

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 08, 2012

This is mainly directed at the Owner.

A person does not have to make up tracking numbers for them to be "fake".  As you know that if you do any automated processing the USPS will generate a number.  As you also know this is flagged in the system as "Electronic Billing Information Received".  But it does NOT mean that the package as actually been shipped.  After all the package that did arrive had the billing info sent on the 5th but the package wasn't accepted until the 29th.  Are you really going to come here and say that the package was just bouncing around the Post Office for 3 weeks without getting scanned once?

There is NOTHING that would keep a fraudulent business from creating one label, sending that same tracking number to 1000 customers, but never actually sending the package.  Then when they complain to say "Gee I don't know what happened, it must be the fault of the Post Office".

Your claim of "undeliverable" also doesn't really wash because the tracking number you wrote in your e-mail to her says nothing more than Electronic Billing Information Received".  So if you want people to believe that it missed EVERY scan AND was undeliverable go right ahead..but just to let you know you are on very shaky ground.

In the end it appears that the OP is very happy with the wand, they are just upset at the time it took and lack of communication.  Since you do seem to fullfill orders one would have to hope that you are legitimate and probably do a very good job.  Where if you left it with your statements that you put that your were backlogged it could be seen as a legitimate reason.  That if you communicated better it sounds like it may have avoided all of this.  But if you want to still try and push it off on the USPS go right ahead, it doesn't really add to your creditability.

I never said fake

AUTHOR: Jessica - (Virgin Islands (US))

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

I never said the tracking number was fake. It was obvious that a shipping label had been purchased but nothing wa shipped until finally the wand I got was actually shipped. The tracking number you gave me when you said you sent a want out at the end of October said "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on October 27, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. No further information is available for this item." I am not really trying to start a feud here. I just really don't like being accused of lying. You make beautiful wants but you need to update your website with the time that it will actually take you to complete the crafting. I also would have been more satisfied if about every two weeks I got a email letting me know you are working on my wand. You made me feel as if you forgot about my purchase. I'm not the only one. You should only use this as motivation to do better. Like I said just update the time it really takes and then send out emails every two weeks and you will have more people that refer you to others. I'm sorry if you don't like what I have to say. I don't usually write reviews and I only wrote this one so you would send my sons wand and he loves it. Like I said it is gorgeous.

This is the email from your company on December 2, 2011. Proof that the package was never mailed. I apologize for the wait. I have found your order and it was marked as shipped back on October 27th. tracking number 9101785091401311337189, however it shows that the post office never scanned it in the system. This is odd. Did you ever receive the tracking number from Paypal? Whatever may have happened, its obvious that you have not received it. I will craft you another wand this weekend and have it shipped out Monday or Tuesday. If the first one ever finds its way to you, you are welcome to keep it as well. If you do not receive a tracking number by Tuesday please email me back. THank you. ~ Magix

Misconception about postal delivery

AUTHOR: Magix - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

I have received many many "undeliverable" packages over the years. Anyone who is familiar with shipping through the United States Postal Service knows what this stamp indicates. I said it meant one of two things, that either the customer has moved with no forwarding address or the carrier attempted delivery three times and the package was sent back. Not all carriers leave a notice as they are supposed to, and not all facilities scan the bar code as they are supposed to, especially during the holidays. This happens all the time. Fake tracking numbers? You cannot fake a tracking number through the United States Postal service. Each tracking number is issued when a label is purchased. The status of a tracking number stays on "The Post Office has been electronically notified that the package...." until the bar code is scanned. If they do not scan the barcode it remains on this status. If it is a fake tracking number, it would say the tracking number does not exist or there is no record of this item message. Your accustations are unjustified and your assumptions are false on the matter. I did not ask you to pay postage for the redelivers. That came out of my own pocket as a good gesture. I also purchased more wood for the wand to be recrafted, which means I did not make any profit off the wand between the postage and wood. I make little money from each transaction as the materials are bought at retail price. I do not have access or the machinery to purchase the wood at wholesale bulk prices. The wood is ordered after the purchase is made and custom cut by my supplier.  I also pay for shipping on the wood purchased. So when I have to recraft or reship, the profit either equals the cost of materials or I lose money. I craft wands because I enjoy the hobby and I love the world of Harry potter. I do not like to disclose such information to the public but your accusations were hurtful and untrue. Even so, I do not hold grudges as I do understand the frustration of having to wait. Crafting time has always been an issue. You are still welcome back to order a wand. However, I would suggestion an email before hand to see how long the wait is. I have been backlogged since July and all orders are taking a considerable amount of time. thank you.

Warning

AUTHOR: Jessica - (Virgin Islands (US))

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

I did receive the wand. The part about the undeliverable part is not true. I did not move at all. This company gave me tracking numbers that the post office did not receive packages for in an attempt to fool me into thinking they had sent something. What I really think is that they had a lot of orders and it is taking longer than expected to mail their product. What would have fixed this is if they would have sent out an email saying they needed more time. Also I suggest they change the expected time to at least twelve weeks. It is a very nice wand and my son really loves it. However their poor customer service will keep me from ever ordering from this company again. Plus they lie which is very unprofessional. Undeliverable what a joke!

Wand Received

AUTHOR: Magix - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 06, 2012

The wand has been delivered tracking number 9101150134711054928798 via USPS. The order was recrafted and shipped out. It returned in the mail as "undeliverable" which ususally means the customer either moved with no forwarding address or postal carrier attempted to deliver 3 times and item was shipped back. The package was then resent again and shows as being received on 1/3/2012. Thank you.
