A new account was opened by me on November 14, 2014 for the reason that, my Debit Card/Checkbook was Lost/Stolen and I needed to report it immediately to Woodforest.  In an effort to avoid ID Theft and loss of revenue, I opened a new account and closed the old account, which has a positive balance with Woodforest.  The new account was in the positive when a Branch Manager named LeAnn at your College Park Branch begins delivering outstanding charges from the old account into my new account, of which I was never notified into the new account.  This was a new account. I do not have any charges on this account, so why did Woodforest charge back from an old account into my new account?

I have never been notified by any means from Woodforest about any insufficient charges on the old account. However, this has nothing to do with my new account.  As a result, my electricity payment was used to help her clear up the mortified charges, and I have been billed extra fees by the utility company, in addition to ruining my credit with the utility company.

They will not clear this matter up and pay the energy company the funds which were available to prevent overdrafts to my new account. If there is an overdraft from my old account, it should be billed separately and I must be officially notified, given the right amount of days to clear the matter, and the issue should be handled properly. Woodforest is handling customers accounts like they are in ancient days where you take from the poor and give to the rich.

They simply should not go into a customer new account, and just take funds to clear an old account. It is unlawful, and I wanted to try to work the issue out with them, if they would properly notify me, and place my account back into the positive where it was before they stole from my new account to payoff what they said were charges which came in, after I opened my new account.

The information they entail does not add up, and I was not allowed to have a reasonable resolution to this issue.  They simply ran up fees, and extra charges to ruin my credit.  If anyone knows how this can be corrected with this bank, please notify me, ASAP.  I can use your help in getting Woodforest National Bank to stop robbing their customers.
