Work Out World Refuses to cancel after our 3 year contract ended.... has sent us to an aggressive collection agency Wall, New Jersey

After more than 3 great years of fitness at WoW, our $90 per month was just too much for us in a bad economy.  The staff and facility were really excellent but.......

When we told them we needed to cancel (our 3 year contract was completed), we were informed that we needed to send a CERTIFIED MAILING requesting their "PERMISSION TO CANCEL".   They refused to cancel and wanted an extra months dues..... and for us to go through the cancelation process all over........and now they are simply charging our dues every month even though we havent set foot in the gym since last spring.

This is pretty insane..... we fulfilled our contract (close to $3000 I would guess) and had a great experience that we would regularly recommend to friends.  I cannot recommend this nightmare of collection calls and mailings to anyone. 

With the hours we now have in just trying to cancel a simple membership, STAY AWAY from this place.  You are a fool if you get caught in this ridiculous money grab.   I am writing this report simply because of the hours worth of frustration I've been put through writing to their collection attorney this morning.  What a waste of life for a working professional who pays all their bills.
