Last year, I moved back to the United States after living in England for the previous 2.5 years. I decided not to use a credit card for those 2.5 years, as I didn't want the hassle of paying bills in the US while abroad. As such, my credit rating disappeared and upon returning I found I was having problems with getting credit. I applied online for a few and was denied, so eventually World Benefits (whom I thought was Superior?) called me stating I could get 2 credit cards for $299 with a locked in 5.9% interest rate (or thereabouts, I forget as this was now over 6 months ago!!) for the life of the cards. I did think this was too good to be true, but was assured it was legit and it was a special offer.
I signed up and was told I would receive a 'package' in 10-14 days. Obviously the money was taken from my account that day. 10-14 days later, no package had arrived. I called around Christmas and was told my package would go out after the new year. I called in late January and was actually told they sent it to me and it had been left at my door at such and such time. I never got anything.
Through it all I was a lot nicer than I should have been, and now I obviously feel pretty stupid for it. Anyway, I called again in February and was told yet again my package would be re-sent but that it wouldn't go out till later that month. Early March - no package.
Called again and was told same thing. I said I'd been told this numerous times and why should I expect this to be different? It wasn't, and I still have received nothing. NOTHING! I called yesterday and spoke to another person, a guy this time (was actually rather pleasant ladies every time before). I explained to him, and guess what he told me? My package would be sent later this month! I said not good enough, I want mine sent out now. He said they couldn't.
I asked to speak to a manager and he said they were all in a meeting that day and would be for the rest of the week. I asked if I'd ever be able to speak with a manager and he actually told me no! He said no!! I would NEVER be able to speak to a manager. I hung up and that's when I found this site. That was yesterday. So now I'm filing a report because this site looks to be the only way I might actually get my money back. I've since fixed my credit on my own and don't want anything to do with this company, ever. I just want my money back and I'm hoping now I might actually get it. Thanks for reading...
