Rafael Martinez, is a pervert and predator. The company sends female hikers out with Rafael Martinez alone no other female chaperone. It is a set up and he takes advantage of being alone on the trail at night to try to move in on the female hiker and molest her. The hiker is always a foreigner who has no knowledge of the laws in Ecuador or who to call. There is no emergency phone service to call for help. The only thing the woman can do is get out of the country as soon as possible. Dont go through this company. If you are a female tourist/hiker/biker, make sure the company you are using always has a female tour guide especially in these 3rd world countries.

OMG I can't believe I found this. the same thing happened to me and yes I can tell you Rafael Martinez is a dirty old man. It is unbelievably scary to be stuck in a foreign country relying on your tour guide and he turns around and takes advantage of you. They changed their websites and email addresses Here is their new website and email addresses. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
