My husband and I have been getting the run-around from WC since day one of our "contract" (which we never received a copy of for either of our phones). For 3 months we did not receive a bill. We called several times to try to pay, but they claimed we did not have an account with them. Suddenly, we received 6 back-to-back bills from them (3 for each phone), apologizing for the inconvenience, but that they were "upgrading" their billing system. Our bills were outrageous and have not been correct since then.
We are constantly being double billed, having our phones shut off without warning, and being harrasses by collection agents, until we pay the bills in full over the phone, even though we nor WC cannot validate the charges. Our bills were supposed to be $29.99 a month, but have been well over $100.00 a month, even though we have not gone over our 250 minutes air time allotment.
Additionally, both names on the bills should be in my husband's name, but neither are correct, and WC refuses to change them. It took many months just to get them to change our address after we moved to our new home.
We're tired of the harrassing phone calls, being shut off without warning, even thought we've paid our bills, have tried to rectify this since they screwed it up from the very start, and would love nothing more than to be able to cancel our "contract" (where is it, by the way??), but we fear we will then be harrassed by collections for an outrageous cancellation fee. I have signed a petiton at a web site called "petitiononline" against WorldCom, going to the FCC and the Attourney General. I urge anyone else being screwed by this company to sign it as well. As of today, they have 117 signatures. Let's get as many as we can to start a class action lawsuit!!
