Worldwide Brands - One Source Does anyone know about them? Internet

I have been a member of World Wide Brands for several years and they do NOT sell you items for resale. They are a service  that tell you about  sources of companies that DO dropship items and Worldwide Brands is NOT a warehouse from which you have items drop shipped from. I do not see how anyone can be so confused about this!

To put it in a better way for you to understand, Worldwide Brands act somewhat as a yellow page for regular wholesale drop shipping companies. WWB does not drop ship.

As for the sources they supply, there are thousands and some are good and some are not so good. But if you will pay attention to what they are trying to tell you and get yourself a sellers or Federal Tax ID you can really hit a good goal of any serious business.

As for the big fee class programs offered by WWB  that costs over thousands of dollars, I will not comment on that as I am not a part of it and would never want to be.

It should be remembered that Rip Off Report dot com allows just about any remark against companies without even verifying anything because Rip Of Report is stupid enough to think big companies are dumb enough to pay $2,000.00 to have a bad or false comment removed.

The bottom line is that Worldwide Brands are OK as a drop ship source connection and they DO NOT ship items from warehouses. However to be honest, I do not recommend the high dollar seminar classes from WWB unless you have your own money tree growing in your back yard and can pick several hundred dollar bills of your miner tree to pay for the HIGH DOLLAR classes. Of which is something you could learn on your own if you had time to do a lot of research.

I am a customer and I'll give you straight forward answer. It's a good resource. I signed up for it in 2005. The membership is lifetime not per year, you can't beat that anywhere. They are always updating their databases so it's a good fallback. WWB is NOT the wholesaler or dropshipper. The site is basically a huge list of everyone (wholesaler/dropshipper) who sell pretty much anything you want to. A lot of the list is crappy wholesalers (or at least they were years ago) with cheap looking products, but there are A LOT of really good companies offering high quality products too. There's companies with no websites, or limited payment options, and there's companies with really professional websites and all the bells and whistles. I think you should be realistic about what you want to sell. Definitely something you're interested in, but keep in my mind that somethings are just hard to find wholesalers/dropshippers for. (Like cell phones, and computers.) WWB verifies (or so they say) all companies on the listings, and I believe them. I've never been ripped off by WWB or anyone in their listings. I payed for a similar list and got a pdf file of like 5-10 listings of websites I had already found on google. WWB is NOT like that. I just spent over 3 days researching wholesalers for products I want for my site via google, bing, alibaba, and tradekey, and only got 8 verified ones. Then I remembered I had my WWB account and decided to look there. I can't fly around overseas or to trade shows because I'm a single mom with a young child, and also a full-time college student. You could spend hours of your time doing what I did or just purchase the list that someone else has already compiled and verified for you. It's expensive, but it's worth the money. And again, the membership is for your lifetime. That means 20-30 years from now, there list will be even bigger and even better and you'll still have access to it if you change your mind, want to sell something different, expand, whatever.

First I want to state that we are NOT wholesale suppliers ourselves. We provide a B2B database.

Does dropshipping work? Yes it can! We have many members that utilize dropshipping and are making 6 figures a year. But they have been doing it for a long time.

The stress point here is that anyone can get started selling online, anyone can work with genuine wholesale suppliers if you have your Tax ID and anyone can utilize dropshipping OR purchase in bulk.

Dropshipping is good to test the market with. But once you find a product that tests well, you may want to consider purchasing in bulk to obtain better pricing.

You have to LOOK AROUND to find the best wholesale supplier for your business- whether they drop ship or not.

Not ALL drop ship suppliers charge membership fees or site membership fees. Not all drop ship suppliers charge a drop ship fee AKA handling fee.

So - in a nutshell, can you do it? Yes you can. Is it easy? No it's not. Will you make money? Yes you can. But you have to be willing to work hard for it.

You can't expect to just throw up a site with products on it and expect to make money.

That's the whole problem, and Wholesale Brands states so itself above. If you could afford to buy in bulk, have product in hand and ship on your own, you wouldn't need them as a dropshipping business. I have checked out a many of these so-called wholesale businesses and once you call them on their high "wholesale" prices they backpeddle justifying it with a bunch of technical business jargon. However, their target audience is the 'average Joe' who they know does not have the money to buy 10 LCD Tvs in bulk, store them and ship them themselves. I can't imagine buying high ticket items, paying to have them shipped to me, then having to turn around and sell them and ship them, if they sell. That can't be all that profitable. And, from my experience, I actually could have made a decent amount of money with dropshipping on high ticket items, but they never seemed to be in stock. So I ended up having mad customers and technically breaching contracts, as ebay stresses that a sale is a contract and if you don't have item in hand to ship, you run the risk of being liable. That's gotten a whole bunch of people in trouble in the past with these dropship businesses, and the sellers are on the line, not the dropshipping companies. In fact, it would take the company I was involved with up to a week to notify me that the item was not in stock. Talk about mad customers! But everything above by the orignal poster is true.

The average person really cannot make money on these things with the multitude of the same items having been listed over and over that are the same as you are trying to sell. These drop ship companies make their money on their membership fees. Yes, they can be a valid business IF you have the funds to fork out to buy in bulk and do all the work yourself (storing items, packing and shipping yourself, etc.), but you'd have to buy A LOT in bulk, and that's not how these companies present their dropship business at all. If they did, no one would sign up. Instead ordinary people like you and me pay thinking we are getting a deal, find out it's really not as economical or as easy as they make it out to be, and get ripped off, ending up out 50, 60 or 70 bucks. These are not companies that are a smart investment for someone trying to make extra money. And don't even get me started on if a customer needs to return something. No matter what any of these companies state is their return policy it is a nightmare because the items need to be returned to the warehouse they came from, you don't get to talk to the warehouse if they refuse to reimburse return shipping (which the company I dealt with required even defective items be returned at the cost of the buyer), and you have 4 players in the mix (you, your customer, your dropshipping company and the warehouse) and this is what ended my relationship with my dropshipper. You never get to talk with the warehouse, you go through your dropshipper only and they put all blame on the warehouse and then drag out any issue with the item. All I can say is DON'T JOIN THESE.

In order to purchase wholesale from genuine wholesale suppliers you must be a legitimate business yourself. You cannot rely solely on the dropshipping method and that is what we teach on our site. It is a good way to start, but you should consider purchasing in smaller bulk quantities in order to compete better, especially in a competitive market like eBay.

Also, to obtain wholesale pricing from the suppliers that we list you must contact them. If you only look at their website you will see retail or suggested retail pricing.

Do we sell retail? Of course we have. But that is not our main focus. Our main focus is to provide a valuable service to online retailers by performing the task of locating and verifying suppliers for legitimacy that will work with them. Performing that initial legwork takes time and we provide the most comprehensive list around of legitimate suppliers that work with online retailers.

I noticed the prices were higher then everyone on eBay. This is not true wholesale prices. I couldn't sell one product as everyone was selling the same products and my cost was more then what they were selling them for.

He makes money with his course to teach people to make money at 1900+ a pop.

Peope that teach can't do. If I could make millions why would I teach others how to do this? Simple question because they are not making millions on what they teach you.

I have not been ripped off by this company, however, I did sign up for their one time fee in order to get "inside" and see the products. You can see them, but learn more info once you sign up. My daughter and I decided we wanted to sell items on e-Bay and came upon this warehouse drop ship company. We went into the sight and actually found products we were interested in drop shipping from them to sell on e-Bay. We carefully did our research and learned that there was no real money to be made on those products. You buy them from Worldwide Brands at a not so discounted price and they warehouse them and then we would sell them on e-Bay. Well by the time we factored in all of the e-Bay fees and other listing charges we were lucky to have made $1 on each product we sold. Furthermore, we did find those same products on E-Bay and were able to discern how many had sold and virutally none had sold. They were listed over and over and nothing was selling. Our next priority was to discontinue our membership with Worldwide Brands. This was not an easy feat. But we were able to do so eventually. For us, it did not appear to be a good way of making money unless we purchased hundreds of the same product at a discounted price and stored them in our garage..this would be something such as baseball caps perhaps. So we did not pursue this. I would be interested to know if someone is actually making money and what they are selling or drop shipping from this company.
