There's always gonna be a scam waiting to take your money. It's been that way for millions of years. Remember the trojan horse? Scam!
Fraud has been going on since the first T Rex cheated a Mastodon out of his ivory tusks. And, it'll keep going on as long as there are new victims to cheat.
So, it's completely up to you to spot the frauds BEFORE they get your money.
As long as you keep believing in free laptops and free plasma TVs, the frauds will be right there waiting to take your money.
