My XM subscription was about to automatically renew, so I called the co. to verify the new rate. During this process, they have their reps try to up-sell packages, which I declined and asked that my service continue without change.
I thought all was well until I found out that they had added & removed a more expensive service, and then charged me a $5 "Package Change Fee".
I called to have them correct their mistake and refund the $5 fee-- the rep refused to credit this. She would not even give me a clue as to how an unauthorized change was made.
I cancelled my account and disputed the $5 credit card charge with Bank of America, which was nice enough to give me a credit.
Although XM got away with this, I want to warn other subscribers that they may incur this fee and XM will refuse to correct their error.
