Product or Service Involved: Olin Ross

I responded to an ad in the fort worth star-telegram for delivery audio equipment that paid $800-1200 weekly and provided a company vehichle. I called and left a message with my name and number, got a call back and scheduled an interview on monday June 15, 2009. He told me they buy premium speakers at wholesale price and sale them for whatever they can above cost. The speakers brand name is "olin ross". He showed me an ad in a guitar magazine. The ad had the msrp's listed in the thousands for the tower speakers and the surround sound home theater. He told me they load up in vans and go around town selling them to people.

I decided to give it a try and come back the next day at. He said training paid $40 a day. I came back the next day and started noticing the red flags. I decided to go ahead and do it for one day since i had already driven out to arlington. I road with two other salespeople to corsicana, tx and they started hitting people up with their fake sales pitch. As soon as I realized it was a scam, I stopped participating in the sales pitch. The driver told me to get off my phone as we were "working". I told him this whole thing is a scam and continued to talk on my phone. Later we stopped at a gas station in corsicana. I went to use the restroom and the driver and the passenger went to buy drinks. When i came back out they had left. I repeatedly called the company phone line with no answer and left several messages. They left me stranded two hours from home. i walked down i45 and hitchhiked a little until i got to 287 and i45 where my girlfriend came a picked me up.

in the meantime my father had gone to their main warehouse in arlington to find the driver who stranded me since my keys were in their van. my dad asked where i was and the driver replied " I dont know. He doesnt work for us anymore. " and went on to tell him how i had disrespected him. I eventually returned to the warehouse to get my truck and confronted the driver. Every employee there defended what he did and said they left me there because i was "being a d****ebag". They refused to pay me the $40 dollars i was promised for training and couldnt care less all the trouble i had making my way back home. My father called the cops as the employees became aggressive and threating but the whole thing ended nothing happening and everyone going home. Look up this company on scam shield. They are driving all over the metroplex using a fake sales pitch to sell their junk.

They are at the office from 4 am til 830 am and then back at around 6:30 pm. The address is 1223 corporate drive east suite H arlington, tx zip code 76006.

The stuff is garbage!

This scam as gone on for years.I doubt this is the same company, but many years ago, my boyfriend came scurrying in with these boxes all excited about this great deal he just got. He bought some speakers off some guys in a truck. Same line as they told you, blah, blah.
He sets them up and I swear these speakers were equivalent to a speaker from a radio at the dollar store.
I just started laughing, who would buy some crap off a truck rolling down the road?
Also I just saw a truck, with guys selling steaks. I personally would not buy, meat off some guys wondering around. I do not know what the quality of this stuff is, but I am not going to trust it to feed my kids.
