Being a novice at book publishing, and seeing the ad on the right side column of my facebook page, I felt pretty safe contacting xlibris regarding my auto biographical publishing dream. i received a call the next day, from a woman calling herself 'francine' who welcomed me, and told me all of the wonderful things (about myself, my book, and our future together) and ended the call with the news that a 'book guide' or some ridiculous title person was going to call me...

within an hour, she did, introducing herself as 'ann santos (x 7623) told me that she would walk me through ALL of the stages of my soon to be masterpiece, and all of the services, the media connections, the hard copies that would be placed in retail outlets etc, aaaannnnnd being Oct. 27 (2011) if I acted (paid)before the end of the month, I could take advantage of the '2 level jump' in package deals of which, for $1099. I would receive the list of goods and services that she had so quickly rambled through that would normally, and that being November 1. cost $3099!

I bit.. hook, line, and sinker.ann told me (myself being on a pension) that I could pay in 3 monthly credit card installments..with the 1st payment to include an added $30. registration fee. making it $396.33...almost the cost of the root canal I cancelled, so I could be sucked into this bullshit! (Ifeell soo stupid...I should have seen it coming...for miles! my wife did) after 1st payment was 'approved' ann santos' x7623 passes me off to my so-called 'editing assistant' wendy ladd x7610.

she continues the same (in fact, she sounded ALOT like ann...if I were to guess, they are one and the same person...feeds me the same kind of crap....and I do receive an emailed, numbered itinerary of the goods and services of what I have just layed down my front teeth for...and I feel like a million. ..the next morning(before opening my computer) I receive a phonecall from wendy ladd....and , already, I'm wondering...why have I shared ALL this information with ann santos, if I am now going to start with somebody new?anyway...

I'm new (at this) move forward. she continues to congratulate me, and asks me some questions about the book...blah, blah, blah....after that call, I opened my computer, and found 5 new emails , 4 from wendy ladd x7610, all containing the same confusing 'gibberish' which could have been done with 1 mail. AND the PUNCHLINE: A NEW ,NUMBERED RECEIPT....which contained a meer 'skeleton' of the services that I had PAID for. at this ...still trrrrusssting point, I call ann santos x7623, and leave a message (to the woman who said"call me 24 hours a day,,,I am HERE for you!") 

an hour goes by and no returned call...my spider sense is tingling, and I am starting to see vague images (growing stronger) of my angry wife in my head. I place a 2nd call , and am now, put on hold, for at least 5 minutes. Finally, ann answers the phone, and I explain to this little lying bitch that she had best clear this problem up, she denies all, and tells me that "the computers were being repaired, so 1st email receipt was a MISTAKE?!?!?"  aahhhhhhhhhhhhh SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! my wife told me!!!!!! DAMNITT!!!  

a 'smash and 'grab'.....how could I be so F**KING stupid!!??!?!? so, PASS ME TO YOUR BOSS... a 'charles andre' x7894...who, (at 1st) upon me reckoning him with the bust...agrees to refund my money...in TOTAL. i told him....even if they were legitimate, a major 'blunder' of that magnitude on day 2 is un forgivable, and I am not comfortable working any farther with them. after agreeing, he passes me to 'Kent' and you can print this...I would beat this kid to death given the opportunity! keeps repeating the company montra,,,,"we will refund in 2 to 3 weeks, and deduct $180.00 for service fees" ....I AM BEING CHARGED for their mistake? forgive me ..

I am going back and forth between dealing with a real company, and a balls out fraud...but I (and my wife, upon arriving home from work...it WAS that long) we, collectively spent over 1 and1/2 hours on the phone, being tossed around from person to person, who , at each stop, would change their story...IE chas andre...and I QUOTE: "nobody forced you to sign up with us"....NO, I'M NOT KIDDING!! anyway, it's nov. 3rd 2011.. the fridge is empty, and my teeth hurt, but the rent was paid today. my wife believes in me, and my story that much..(so does everybody who reads it...thankfully it wasn;t stolen along with our money and faith. F^ck these a**holes, kharma's a b*tch muthafukas
