YELP Removed good reviews, left bogus reviews and tried to get me to pay to have my good reviews listed www.yelp.com, Internet

Here to report YELP's unethical practices.

Am a business owner who recieved a bad review on YELP from someone who did not use our service.  I wrote into yelp to ask that the review be removed as it violated their own writen policies regarding reviews in addition to the fact that the person never did use our business.

I received an email back from them stating that they found nothing wrong with the review and that they wouldn't remove it.  2 days later I received a call from a YELP salesperson telling me that by advertising with them (at a rate of $299 a month) they could have all my positive reviews listed on top and could bury the negative review or take another look at removing it all together.

At that point I asked to speak to a manger, who told me the same thing.  I proceeded to tell them I thought it was unethical and hung up the phone.  I then sent an email to a couple different YELP email address I was able to find online in addition to the main email contact via their website.  I explained everything again in the email with regards to the bad review, and also about the phone call and how I thought it unethical to ask for money in return for showing the good reviews.

A week later (and no responce yet from anyone at YELP) I checked our YELP page and found all our positive reviews had been removed, leaving only the negative (bogus) review. 

Fast forward two years, and we now have 27 filtered 5 star reviews, and only 3 reviews being shown. 2 of which are sub par (1 of them being the original BOGUS review).  I have checked the people who have left us positive reviews and their reviews of other places (attractions, restaraunts, etc..) show up, but not their review for us. 

Furthermore we just had a customer who uses YELP alot leave us and a surfschool a review on the same day, minutes apart.  His review of the surf school isn't filtered, but his review of our company is.   How is this ethical or leagal?

Our company boasts an A+ rating with the BBB, is highly touted on every other review site we are listed on, and has a perfect safety record to boot.  Yet we have a 2 star rating from YELP as they see fit to filter out every 5 star review we have gotten.

Someone please help put an end to this horendous company.
