I call to cancel before the expiration date of 30 days for the gift that is due to receive with Target. The answering machine you have to call back the next day if you're cancelling just leave your contact number. I tried the second one and got a hold of their billing dept. I told her I am cancelling which is around 8 days before the expiration date. She said I can only cancel If I pay the subscription fee. Which I did not order and I never received anything, so why should I pay. She said they prepay my subscription already and in a week or two, I will received it. I said, What you pay for my subscription? Lady says yes! So the only way to get out of it is to pay my first subscription. Why should I? first of all I did not order it? she said I and she let me listen to recorded message which I did not understand any single word what the guy is telling me on the recorded message and the only thing I heard is my clear voice of yes. Then I told her nothing is mention about subscription of the magazine, besides I did not understand any single word on the recorded messages. She said I have to pay otherwise it will affect my credit standing and that they will collect seriously. I said why should I pay for something I did not received and am cancelling before the date if ever there is an order? She persist that the only way is bill me for the first month, I said I don't need it seriously! why you have to force me into that?
Guess what?? Today, I received a letter that my current charges 24.89, Past Due Amt. 24.89,my total amount due is 49.88
In bold letter it says "A PAYMENT OF $273.79 WILL PAY YOUR ACCOUNT IN FULL." This is a very clear indication of harassment and scamming especially if there was no goods involved in this transaction.. To the authorities please check out the operation of this company.
I asked to call the number 866-537-4728 I never did yet, because I dont want to get harassed by these people again.
