The week before that, a open mic session dedicated to Malcolm X took place. We have hosted many events in the past that brings in people of all race as we believe in diversity so therefore, your argument in regards to race is invalid. Second, YOU were dropped by another venue and needed to save the night. YOU came to us with a line up which consisted of acts including raggae, pop, r&b, and hip hop.
The night before and the day of the event; the "performances" were advertised as something else that was not brought up at all. With a theme that was not approved by anyone, we felt it was necessary to pull it to ensure that we keep our crowd consistent throughout the night. Once again, our demographics is widely spread across the board and to bring in a crowd that could disrupt that would not fly.
As a business, we can refuse service and anything along that line if we feel it may cause a disruption. Third, please do not even mention anything that involved "$". That was never discussed in the first place. YOLO does promoting all in-house and was never even looking at an outside promoter to begin with.
Again, YOU plastered the town with flyers with "PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE" when we never sell anything entry-related on the internet. We went as far as taking care of you and a fairly large group that had came out for your singer. I hope this comes to you clear and precise. You had failed to mentioned anything to the venue when you had booked this event outside of it.
