Yvonne Johnson owns several properties in the Los Angeles County area, including the property 1820 Speyer Ln. in Redondo
Beach, CA 90278. Yvonne Johnson is not fit to be a landlord. She does not maintain her property and despite numerous
complaints regarding termites, rats in the garages (which are filled with junk) leaking rooves, and more she continues to
refuse to employ professional help to rectify deficiencies. She is the definition of a slum landlord.
Ms. Johnson is very volatile. She has mercurial moods and becomes angry when tenants ask for repairs beyond what she is
willing to provide. She has also has poor boundaries attempting to involve herself in the personal lives of her tenants and
will become spiteful and vindictive when boundaries are set. She can be very charming, friendly and helpful at times but do
not be fooled. She is often most friendly while plotting unethical, illegal and just plan evil activities behind the back's
of her tenants. She is extraordinarily manipulative and will not hesitate to lie if it suits her purpose and agenda. You
have been warned. Rent from Yvonne Johnson at your own risk.
There are a cast of characters surrounding Ms. Johnson and they are all complicit in her continued negligence. Arthur Beck
"Art" is Ms. Johnson 89 year old "boyfriend." He completes most of the repairs but is unable to do them in a satisfactory
manner. Although outwardly pleasant Mr. Beck is just as guilty as Yvonne as he is aware of Ms. Johnson's negligence and
unethical behavior and he participates in it willingly. The pair often engage in screaming fights on the property grounds
where Ms. Johnson can regularly be found yelling and screaming obscenities at him. They mismanage the rent money and do not
keep proper records. A favorite tactic of theirs is to claim that a tenant has not paid rent for months and then file an
illegal eviction if a tenant does not pay rent money that was already paid out, despite tenants providing proof from their
banks that rent checks were cashed. They pick up the rent on irregular days and times and therefore do not provide reciepts
to tenants at the time of payment, if ever. Ms. Johnson becomes agitated, angry and vindictive if you ask her for necessary
repairs and will blame any problems with the units on "people trying to sabotage me." She will also hold your checks for
weeks and then put two or more months worth of rent in the bank at one time.
In addition to this, she regularly goes out of the country for weeks on end and does not pick up rent before leaving and will demand that you DO NOT
give the rent to Arthur Beck when he comes to collect it in herabsence. Her reasoning for this is that she believes that Art is "trying to kill me
and sabotage me and he's the one poking holes in roof. That's why it never stops leaking."
She has different family members and friends around and she lies to them and will have them verbally assault you for "taking
advantage of her" when she in fact lies on her tenants and takes advantage of them by collecting an exorbitant amount of rent
for what amounts to a SLUM.
This woman is clearly mentally ill and in need of a mental health intervention but her friends and
relatives humor her, probably in hopes that she'll die and they can swoop in and take over the property. You have been
warned. Do not rent from Yvonne Johnson. You will regret it and probably end up dead or seriously ill from the MoLD that's
everywhere due to the leaky roof. Don't allow yourself to be terrorized by this unstable, evil acting woman.
