I was outraged because as soon as I entered my CC#, I was charged $99.
I called and spoke with George who tried numerous times to keep me by offering 50% discount and lying they didn't give refunds since it was said on their site that when you enter your CC# you are buying bids.
I saved a screen capture of that page and it says nothing about charging your account if you enter your CC#.
After numerous lies about what they couldn't do, I finally got him to agree to cancel my account and receive a full $99. refund that he said would be processed in 24 to 48 hours during business days which he probably meant M-F when they're there all the time.
I had to threaten going to my bank to report them and that's when I finally got a confirmation number for my refund and also got an email to that effect but the email said to allow 5-7 days to get my refund.
I should have checked that they are in Florida. I don't do any business with firms in Florida ever since I was ripped off years ago by companies there.

Not sure what you want me to do

I said you stopped the deduction from my bank account but that still does not
avert the hassle and lies I had to go through to get it done! I will not retract
this report because others who get bamboozled by your site will know how to
proceed and not accept your lies that you can't or won't refund money that is
taken from visitors who sign up thinking that's all they're doing and not to post
their CC or DC.
As far as I'm concerned, it's done unless a $99. charge is placed later by you.

I did my best to help you resolve this issue. In the interest of honesty, it would be appropriate at this point to stop insisting that we did not refund you. As you admitted in your last post, your account was never charged in the first place; the transaction was voided before it ever went through. It is not possible for us to withhold a refund from a customer who was never charged.
We've done all we can, and we wish you the best. Take care!

Many lies before they stopped payment request

When I found out that I was being charged $99. for just signing up and called George about it, I was fed numerous lies such as "we don't issue refunds; then he had to ask somebody because I insisted on a full refund so when he came back he said they could only issue a 50% refund and use the other 50% for paying for bids.
I insisted on a full refund and it wasn't until I said I would be contacting my bank to alert them to the fraud that was being perpetrated on me, and that's when he said he would refund the full amount within 24 to 48 hours which was another lie but when this new guy asked me to email him and he would check on my refund, he sent me what he called proof that my payment was blocked so it wouldn't show up in my account.
And happily it hasn't; it was blocked from going through but that does not let them off the hook for fraud and lies about why I was charged.
I would never deal with these people ever again and will tell my story to everyone interested.

Your transaction as voided on 8/5

Mr. Harrison,
The charge was "voided" before it went through, so it won't show as a refund. This occurred on 8/5, so that was five days ago. I emailed you a screenshot of this transaction from our system. You can confirm this with your bank or credit card company.
I'm glad I was able to help you get to the bottom of this. Please revise your statement, or retract your complaint, since it does not accurately reflect the truth of how we handled your transaction.
We wish you the best,
Seth

4 Days Still No Refund!
AUTHOR: Lolwme - (Afghanistan)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, August 09, 2012
It's been 4 days and still no refund so their statement that I would get
my full refund in 24 to 48 hours was a lie like so much of their other claims.
I received an email to the email address I used for them but it was disguised
as "Overstocked Auctions" which at first sounded like Overstock.com but when
I clicked on the link in the email I was directed to ZBiddy.com once again.
These people are full of deceit and lies.

It has been more than 48 hours and no refund yet as promised at first but then they changed the timeline for refund to 5 to 7 days. These people are not to be trusted!

Rebuttal

You might want to read your own Terms and Conditions where it says:
"3. Bid Purchasing for Online Bidding / Payment
Bid credits, referred to as bids, Promotional bids may be offered by ZBIDDY from time to time in ZBIDDYs sole discretion and are free to the user.
Bid Types:
2) Free Bids: Free Bids are sold as auctions and given when you refer a friend. Free bids expire 60 after they post to your account.
3) Promo Bids: Promo bids work exactly like Regular Purchase Bids and are offered at a promotional level. Promo Bids have a value of $0.00. Additionally these bids expire after a specific, pre-defined period of time according to the terms and conditions stated on our website and will always be applied subsequent to any Purchased Bids.
I was offered 25 bids FREE but when I entered my CC you billed it immediately.
Why did I enter my CC#, because most penny auctions will not allow me to sign up if I don't but they always says it will not be charged until I select to BUY BIDS which I did not do.
It'll be interesting to see how long my refund takes since you have said 2 different things about that:
1. 24 to 48 hours
2. 5 to 7 days
Quite different don't you think!

Dear Zbiddy Customer,
Please note that we value feedback from the users who engage with our site, and we take every concern seriously.
To place bids and win products on Zbiddy, you must first register and purchase a bid package. This process is explained clearly on our site and is an industry standard.
The page where you entered your credit has two steps on it. The first step, shown on the left half of the screen in your screenshot, is bid package selection. You have a few options available, each of which clearly displays a price (as seen in your screen shot). The second step, shown on the right half of the screen, is where you enter your credit card information to complete the purchase of the bid package you selected.
Zbiddy has issued a full refund, as your statement shows, as an accommodation to ensure customer satisfaction, but in doing so we do not acknowledge any liability or wrongdoing. Zbiddy operates a customer service line 7 days a week and openly encourages its users to utilize this direct method of communication. In this and in all cases, Zbiddy has made a good faith effort to immediately and completely address the concerns that were brought to our attention.
