My wife bought me a watch on May 11th as a wedding present for our wedding the next weekend. A week after the wedding we left for our honeymoon and the watch, which came with 2 bands one rubber and one steel, band broke from the connector on the body of the dial. I returned to zales on 6/13/13 and after several calls and trips to the store finally recieved an answer when I called on 7/08/2013. The sales guy, Luke, said that they had received a response back from the repair center and it would not be covered under any warranty and it would cost 200 to be fixed, which is MORE than my wife paid for the watch new. This is a lucrative scam put on by Zales, selling defective merchandise then banking in when it breaks and has to be repaired.
