Run from this breeder.. sold us a $8000 dog that was afraid of everything, socially unadjusted.. .blamed us and then we were given a puppy to replace it.. from a supposed trained dog to a $8000 puppy! The puppy had a testicular torsion and had to be spade... we are now unable to breed, contacted the breeder, Andreas, and were told that the dog was fine when he delivered it to us! Again it was our fault, then the latest is our dog has
Two bad front elbows and needs a $ 4500 operation! What are the odds of two major genetic problems? The dog is now part of our family so we have no choice! $8000 plus $3500 plus $4500 for a dog that is suppose to be show quality, can never be show or ever breed..we feel totally ripped off.

Amdreas Mueller is finally dealing with the law

AUTHOR: Aline - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, April 14, 2018

I am so sorry that you had to deal with Mueller, had I read your report I don't think I would have dealt with him 3-4 years later.  had I seen it earlier. But just wanted to let you know that he is in court soon for failing to provide medical attention to a dying German Shepherd boarded at his kennel..  To follow his case go to jp.pima.gov, look under reports, then find my case, type in his name and enjoy. He has abused animals and ripped people for too many years.

Bad English....Bad Breeder

AUTHOR: Larry - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 29, 2013

I will be the first to admit that I am not a breeder or Vet, that I may have used spade when it should of been neutered.  That doesn't change the fact of the quality of the dog we received and the lack of follow up from this breeder.   If you are happy then please by all means keep recommending them, however, that was not our experience!  I have every right to share our bad experience as you do your good experience!  Again unless you are connected to the Kennel, which you haven't disclosed then you have no idea of all the anguish and pain we have gone through with this breeder and two of his dogs.

So excuse my grammar, but I don't think that's the issue......Isn't it our bad experience?   If you think $8000 for a puppy that ended up at this level of quality is fair and reasonable then that's your opinion.  I don't agree, we deserved better no matter what your opinion is, and so do other buyers!

Just the facts Ma'am.

AUTHOR: Red - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 29, 2013

Your are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.  You don't have a dog spade that’s a type of shovel.  Factually it’s called having her spayed (a surgical procedure to sterilize a female dog).  If you want to claim it was a simple typo; factually he's a he and male dogs are neutered, but you were gonna be all about facts, right?

In your original complaint you said the dog was diagnosed with testicular torsion.  Sticking to the facts, a t******e would be dying due to reduced or eliminated blood supply and will likely become necrotic, hence an immediate need for surgery.  In fact it can occur internally, or externally, it is not limited to birth defects but can occur at any time in the unsterilized male dog’s life.  Cold, accidents, and carrying the pup improperly, are just a few in a host reasons.  Just Google for the facts Ma’am.

In the next post you leap from a life threatening condition (the necrotic testis) to it might drop and be OK (Since the vet said it may drop you probably missed the terms hydrocele or cryptorchid).  I’ve dealt with this in dogs myself and although being cryptorchid “may” be genetic, that it occurred on your watch isn't contrary to the laws of physics that drive "This" universe.  And you're welcome to search the web to determine my claim's veracity.

I never said dysplasia wasn't a fact, that it is latent in puppies is.  Nobody provides radiographs of puppies except the controversial Penn-hip exam which isn’t about elbows.  And it’s not displacia (no such word) or nudered (did you have the puppy shaved smooth???).  Please proof read, it’s God-awful trying to work through your drama ridden writing with all the spelling, whoops & dot, dot, dot.  Care enough to communicate efficiently, please.  It strengthens your case.

Dogs are like people.  One can be a supermodel and member of MENSA, who marries a rocket scientist that worked his way through college at Chippendales.  That’s no guarantee their spawn will be aesthetically pleasing, smart, mentally stable, or have any desire to breed.  A breeder can be as diligent as possible and still have to deal with the realities of creating dogs with trillions of genetic variables both latent and visible and sometimes people who aren’t as smart as their dog.  It's a crap shoot lady.  If it was a sure thing everyone would be showing and breeding dogs for fun and profit.

And since we're on the subject of bloodlines, Mueller's dogs are from imported working bloodlines.  Show dogs (in AKC shows) are called American bloodlines, they are distinctive as they walk on their hocks.  Most people who seek a dog from Zauberberg are looking to avoid American line GSDs  Although there are normal GSD shows here in the states, (a reasonably normal GSD won the herding group in the AKC show in Philadelphia this April) and they do have prizes; but dreams of showing and breeding a stud GSD to become filthy rich & famous are vanishingly rare from any breeder in any bloodline.  Although I'm sure you intended to carefully research bloodlines and work to improve, or maintain the breed.

Andreas isn't my hero, it was vulgar of you to insinuate that.  I believe people who have spent time and effort to do something well deserve respect.  It disgusts me to see people who've worked hard and excelled maligned.

Please don't let facts get in the way of your biased opinion

AUTHOR: Larry - ()

POSTED: Saturday, July 27, 2013

Since you supposedly had a great experience with Zauberberg, that means that everyone else has.....NOT. I am is actually glad to hear how you were treated.....I only wish Ihad been treated half that well.....

Now for some facts....Our Vet diaginosed the problem with the t******e on our first visit!   One week after we received the puppy!  He explained the problem and the possibility that it might drop later in the dogs life.....we contacted you're hero Andreas and he did nor offered anything!  Sorry but it is genetic to a very large degree....again a fact.......because of this the dog almost died......we never received a followup call, comment or concern from Andreas .......ever....again another fact.....don't mean to keep putting them in your way....

Elbow displacia is also genetic,  whoops another fact!

The fact thats you were treated well does not make it a fact that I was........Again, we were ripped off!  Go to a reputable breeder, one that will stand behind his dogs.........which did not happen for me........We should have a show quality, breed able male dog......that is what we paid for.......what we have is a great nudered pet.......for over $15,000......which I believe is about $14500 too much!

We attempted several times to get this resolved, we were ignored.......that also is a fact......

It's never your fault, right.

AUTHOR: Red - ()

POSTED: Saturday, July 27, 2013

So, Mueller sold you a dog, it didn't work out.  He gave you one in exchange.  It was a puppy and that didn't satisfy you either.  Well dogs ain't walmart & ya' can't just exchange it like a dented can of beans.  These are live animals.  Did expect him to have spare dogs of every age and training level laying around just in case a customer isn't happy?  That would make sense, right?

Nobody x-rays puppy hips/elbows.  The most gifted veterinarians on the planet cannot predict hip/elbow deformities until much later in life, but that's Mueller's fault, right?

Although not impossible, testicular torsion isn't considered a birth defect.  It's an accident, just like gastric torsion.  But that's Andreas' fault too, right?

I told Andreas last december my puppy's hips didn't look right (Berlin was a $500 discount dog because my first Zauberberg dog only lived seven years not the expected 12).  He said the rest of the litter was fine.  Two months later I had him x-rayed (Berlin, not Andreas) and found out he didn't have a right acetabular socket at all.  Within thirty minutes of sending Andreas x-rays and the vet's report he texted me that he needed to get me a new dog!  His exact quote was "I need to make this right, now!"

When I arrived at Zauberberg to screen potential replacements neither was to my liking, and I have a very specific set of needs.  I did however take a shine to a young guy (almost a year old) who belonged to another breeder, a dog sent to Andreas for training.  He pulled out his cell phone and purchased him for me on the spot.  Andreas forefitted the training fees for this dog and promised to train a future dog to make up for the loss of the other breeder's revenue.

Search the web for complaints against this trainer/breeder who has been in business for over twenty years here in the US.  You get yourself and another who suffers much worse in an internet search for complaints.  Neither of you told about the hours spent researching the breed and becoming a GSD savvy pack leader.  His dogs and the dogs he's trained for others have titled at the national and international level.  He's certified to testify in court on all things dog, but he took time out of his busy day to rip you off, right?
