I bought a car from this place to try and help them out. Prior to purchasing the vehicle the owner said there were two issues with it.

1. Installed a used part - this part feel apart within two weeks.

2. Claimed a minor fix was the reason for the check engine light. We had this fixed at our expense only to find out it is something else he assured that it wasn't.

Tried to reach out to him to see what could be done to fix these issues - did not return messages for over a month. I have even sent a letter and still nothing.

The Bottom Line

AUTHOR: DYTConsumer - (United States of America)

I have gone by your place of business during normal business hours and there has been no one there. Are you guaranteeing that someone is always at your place of business everyday?

I have phone records that depict the numerous times trying to reach out to this business owner for a resolution with no return calls. I even have a certified letter requesting them to get in touch with me to discuss the issues. This is the first time the owner has replied regarding the issues with the vehicle. Not surprisingly, I have yet to receive any call from you even during this back and forth.

The facts remain - there was deception and horrible lack of communication. Truth be told on one of the issues you even said you would put in a new A/C Compressor prior to the purchase, yet when you put in a used one and then were dumbfounded when it went out. So, honestly do you really think I would bring the vehicle back for you to work on it? I can't trust your word let alone the work you perform on the vehicle.

In response to the 'other' replies on here there were no buyers remorse at all, rather laying out my story for others to view and allowing them to draw their own conclusions. The last thing I would want to do is purchase a vehicle from someplace that doesn't hold up to their end of the bargain if someone else already went through it.

Buying a car

AUTHOR: ROR Warrior - (USA)

A car purchase is something that a lot of people take for granted.  As an automobile mechanic, I see broken cars all day long.  I even see cars that people JUST bought in for service.

Rules of the car buying game:
1. Don't buy anything without having it inspected by the OEM dealer.  I.E. Chrysler, Chevrolet, Dodge dealers.

2. If you're suspicious that the car is a pile of garbage, it probably is.

3. Don't EVER buy a car from a friend or family member.  They're always the first to screw you.  Even though this dealer is a friend that apparently churchgoes with you, I still wouldn't trust him.  He talks to a magic bearded man in the sky.  I never trust devout Christian businesses-Take Wal-Mart as an example.

4. Never trust an illiterate businessman.  They're illiterate for a reason.  They obviously don't care enough to learn to write legibly, so they certainly won't care about customer service.

I hope this was a help!

Questions for DYTConsumer

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

Why did you take it to the mechanic? You paid no regard to his diagnosis and chose to purchase the car.

Did you purchase a car that had the check engine light on? What are the terms of the warranty? Are you familiar with the term buyer's remorse?

The owner was a fellow church member and just started his business. There was a check engine light and was reset by the owner saying they had fixed it (02 sensor) prior to purchasing it.

Facts are facts

AUTHOR: DYTConsumer - (United States of America)

Please get the facts straigt. There was a need to test drive it "twice" because you couldn't handle appointments and be on time. Second, the 3rd party mechanic we took it to did say it was drivable BUT there were issues that needed to be fixed. When we brought it to your attention you lied and said it was something else. After purchasing the vehicle and getting it tested by a different mechanic, when the check engine light came on, they found the same issue. So we called with no return calls, and have phone records to prove it along with a certified letter and also a previous mechanic that worked for you as well. In regards to the trade-in there was a full disclosure and being a mechanic you would think you would examine the vehicle prior to the trade in. I hope you are disclosing the information to potential buyer of that vehicle.
