Recent phone bill included $93.15 for a new internet service provider completely unautorized by household. Three calls made to an internet provider on consecutive days completely fraudulent. I believe it was done via our dial-up connection while in use as we received error messages and unwelcomed icon around the time of the charges. Received a one time courtesy for the charges and put freeze on future use of phone line through this billing company used by Zero Plus Dialing.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Sounds like Spyware to me...

AUTHOR: Doc - (U.S.A.)

These unwanted phone charges and sign ups are getting to be more common. Go to download.com and download and install popular anti-spware tooks such as Spyware Blaster, Spyware Doctor, SpySweeper, etc. Most are free, and some have 30 day trial periods which is enough to help you clean up spyware.

Also install a firewall, such as zonealarm.com they have a free version which works great. All this is needed to prevent your system from being taken over, most so if on broadband hi speed connection.
