ZipWeb.com, ZipWeb, Big City Yellow Pages deceptive and fraudulent business practices, will not reverse charges for unwanted service Encino California

Telemarketer offered a free 30 day trial for web listing with all major search engines. The terms of this offer are not clearly explained, and the actual start date of the free trial period is never mentioned, but I was informed I would be receiving a blue envelope in the mail in 5 - 7 business days so I could review all the information.

Promised follow-up phone calls and a call from a web designer were not received, nor was the written information that was to be sent by mail (although more than a month later I did receive a statement that my account was active and that the 30 day trial period had begun "today"--this was less than 30 days ago). I then discovered that I had already been billed the monthly fee of $49.95 plus tax through my phone company for two months of service.

This offer is a scam, and the company was unwilling to reverse any of their unauthorized charges. ZipWeb clearly misrepresented the conditions of their service, presenting inaccurate and misleading information. This scam is designed to entice/trick innocent and perhaps all-too-trusting business owners, who are already in difficult financial situations, and then rip them off.

Not only that, but when I searched for the designated keywords on Google, my company did not even appear on the first page as promised--so they don't even deliver what they promise their service does, making it false advertising on top of everything else.

Do not accept any such "free" offers for web listings with search engines from ZipWeb or Big City Yellow Pages.
