Last December I bought a Playstation 3 Game FIFA11 for my kid. When he went to play on line it stated that the serial key was invalid. I asked Zoverstocks to supply me with a valid serial key, but to not avail.

Zoverstock have gave me a full refund. But it was unfair since they should have made it clear before buying that it will not work online. Games like FIFA are best played online not solo. My kid was very diappointed and by the time we closed the case, FIFA 12 CAME OUT.

TheProblem in this case is not the serial bein invalid was fault of Zoverstock bu he problem is with the games manufacturer EA Games. They have brought in a system where the serial numbers on fifa 11 onwards can only be registered to one user( the first owner of the game to register for online use with it).
If the game is second hand and has been registered by anyone else at all, then it cannot be used online. your only hope is to contact ea directly and either buy a new liscence directly through them or ask them if they are willing to give you a free code.( this is unlikely though).
If the game is brand new (zoverstock are normally always second hand) then they willl ask you to photo the serial number by a piece of paper with that days date on and your signature and wil ask you to email it straight to them and they'll give you a new code. they do occasionally ask for proof of purchase but if you no longer have it tell them and they'll normally just accept that.
I Have been in this situation before and a friend has with a second hand game so i know the process which they go through.
