On June 27, I received my Verizon phone bill and included on it was a charge from ZPDI for the American Roaming Net. The charge was only $12.51 but it was not mine. I never received a person to person call collect from anyone so when I called ZPDI, the csr said I would have to call American Roaming Net to see if they would give me a credit. If ZPDI is the billing agent then why did they not take care of this? The man at Amer. Roaming Net was very rude and said I would have to pay it, that it was my bill and my call and they would not give me a credit. He would not let me say anything. I called Verizon and asked what would they do if I did not pay this and their representative said it would continue to be billed with interest until eventually my phone service would be discontinued if the bill was not paid. I read on my billing statement underneath the ZPDI section, the statement: "Nonpayment of provider charges will not result in the disconnection of your local telephone service, however, collection of unpaid charges may be pursued by the service provider" To say the least, I was upset and was told there was nothing I could do but was required to pay this bill regardless if I owed it or not. I am very unhappy that I just feel like I have been abused and no one cares. Yes, I paid the bill but what a bomber.
