Do NOT use them if you want good customer service OR a job well done!!
We were replacing ALL the windows and doors. A $20,000 job.
The bad customer service began when we were getting our estimate. We were good with that but then after we discussed what we wanted, the rep wrote it up and we signed...there was a discrepancy in the estimate. We didn't notice until they put the wrong glass in the bathroom. We wanted frosted for privacy (window smack dab in the shower) and they put in clear. Who wants clear glass in the middle of the shower? When we called him, he said it wasn't in the estimate. We reminded him that he WAS here, and even joked about being naked in the shower! He said he didn't remember that but we didn't sign for frosted and that the best he could do was come back put a film on it. HE wrote the estimate!! I accept that we should have read the estimate better but we trusted him. He SEEMED trustworthy and professional. Anyway...It took him three scheduled times to come back. He kept saying 'something came up'. When he did come and put the film on, it looked like a dime store job, all bubbled and now it's peeling off. Now we have to redo it ourselves.
THEN...they came to do the job. One of the windows, they LEFT UNCAULKED and said they ran out of caulk, they'd have to come back the next day. It was 4pm
! Go get some caulk! Nope. So the entire perimeter of the window was gapped and open. It rains that night! Rain got in through the gaps! I called the rep to complain. He dropped the F-Bomb on his own company's workers. Real professional.
THEN when they were caulking the inside 'high windows'...I told the guy who was using a ladder that I'd just had the wall painted and if he could not get his super dirty ladder all over the wall. He did not speak English and barely understood me. Not only did his ladder scuff up my newly painted and paid for wall, his filthy hands left hand prints all over it too!
THEN...about two, maybe three months later, we noticed some of the windows on the second floor out back, the caulk was lifting off outside...AND nearly all of the windows have these brown SPOTS appearing around the perimeter on the inside. Called again, the rep cussed on the workers. A 'head worker' came out and said they caulked too soon after rain and it didn't adhere so they came out AGAIN and re caulked. One of the windows's caulk was a DIFFERENT color!! The spots are the oils from the window shims getting too close to the inside caulk job. All of the caulk where the spots are has to be removed, the wooden shims have to be shaved down and fixed, re-caulked. He says NOW they use plastic shims to avoid this!
NOW...about eight months later, our large dining room window started leaking so badly, there was a literal PUDDLE of water on the inside ledge AND on the floor. It even bubbled up our wallpaper and got under our rug. So the 'head' guy came out again and said his guys would be here to fix it on Friday. He texted me (why not call?) and asked if Friday was ok with us. I immediately texted back, YES. Friday comes and nobody shows up. I ask him where are his guys? He said he didn't see my text until then!! WHAT? He reschedules for Monday. Monday comes and he texted me again saying half of his guys were off that day and he promised it would happen the next day!
Well today is the next day, his guy is here and saying they never sealed ANY of the inside windows, some of the outside windows's caulk was lifting, not sealed properly, and that he is going to redo it.
Now, the last thing I'll mention...is that apparently they put a 'lien' on you between the initial deposit and final payment. We paid the final bill immediately when the job was completed. We did not know about this 'lien' until months later when we were refinancing our home. The lien was still there, they never removed it even though we paid immediately! The mortgage company cancelled the refinance because of this lien!!!
The rep was completely unprofessional and careless...the job was a repetitive faulty disaster, and the problems keep happening today, almost a year later!!
I would NEVER use or recommend this company!! EVER!
