Several months ago a man came to my front door of  Henderson Nevada and asked if he could spray for pest and it would cost 50.00 to do so. My husband and I decided to try the company out. We gave our credit card and information and were told that they bill 70.00 every 3 months for continued service. We were then told that if we wanted to cancel the plan we could at anytime. Three weeks later my husband accepted a job in Midland Texas for an oil company increasing our income by 85%. The decision was made to move. I personally called A1 Guardian Pest Defense (A1GPD) at 702-474-9470 and cancelled all services due to the move.

The company assured us we cancelled in time and we had nothing to worry about. The following month Bank of America contacted me because A1 GPD was attempting to withdraw $70.00. The attempted withdraw was denied and the company was contacted by the bank and by me. They claimed it was an error and again assured us we had nothing to worry about. The next month a yellow paper was placed on my front door at claiming A1GPD had serviced the home, front yard, and backyard and we owed $70.00 again. I contacted them and explained there was no way they serviced a locked home with no entrance to the backyard. It was simply a fraudulent claim. Again they apologized and claimed we were still on their route papers yet this wont happen again.

February 22, 2012, I received a bill of collection letter stating we owed $283.75 for services never rendered. When I contacted the company A1GPD, I was told rudely to not call them back unless I had a credit card available and was ready to make a payment. I attempted to point out they were paid for the one service rendered the day they solicited our business. They claimed it does not matter and we owe for the entire year, and that if I did not pay they will continue to add 70.00 a month until we did pay.

Here are the facts:

A1 GPD serviced our home one time only.
The company was paid for that service (1 service day) and we have proof with Bank of America
The company left fraudulent letters of service on front door of home.
The company attempted to steal money from our Bank of America account.
We have been threatened if we do not pay off the one year contract that they would continue to bill us and place fraudulent information on our credit report.
