 Friday, brought my Truck for an opinion about transmission, they kept truck, I rode my bicycle 5.3 miles home, they called saying it will be $1800.00 to replace Slave, Master, clutch and reseal the leaky transmission, I asked if they would work out a deal paying cash, YES, we'll work with you, it will be ready on Monday, I call Monday, They say, Tuesday, I call, they say Wednesday, I call They say Thursday then Friday i get him on the phone and he says they put the wrong parts in and need to order parts directly from dodge and the quote changed to 1994.00 which was a lie, it was 1800.00 and now will be over $2000.00 and I will have to pay half for the difference of the new parts. I remind him i was quoted $1800.00 he gets an attitude an tells me I'm wrong. I visit the shop, now he says the price went up because he changed a universal joint, the mechanic confirms this and says , " you didn't hear the clunking noise"? I said they were just changed 4weeks ago, now he changes his story and says, " well I didn't actually change it, I stole a pin from another one, it was installed wrong. We go in the office and he is answering calls and ignoring me then says I'll only charge you $12.00 for that part? and tries to justify his mistakes by saying its been years since he's worked on a 93 dodge truck and tries to show me how much leg work he's done searching for the parts on the computer and says you will have to wait until Next week if we don't get the new master and slave assembly parts in Saturday. It's now Sunday and I'm sick to my stomach and without a vehicle for work, school, travel, I'm stuck and all this time he never called once as a courtesy to let me know what was happening with my truck.... They are crooks, what can I do? Now they want me to pay for half of the difference for the new parts, some $250.00?? more onto the bogus new quote. I am not going to pay cash and will use my credit card or a check and I'm going to take it for a test drive with him before I pay him, maybe to another garage to get it checked.
