You are absolutely right! I too, spent $1700.00 at Aamco in Ocala to get my tranny rebuilt and was told that "It all looked fine." by the then manager. It lasted a week. I drove to work in Gainesville and it died on me in the parking lot at work. I called screaming and the Gainesville store came and picked it up and kept it for about a week when they finally decided to put a different tranny in it. One that they said they had rebuilt. THAT one lasted about 6 months and Aamco refuses to do the right thing. I was told that for an additional $2000.00 they would rebuild it "Right, this time." and give me a life time warranty. Like I was going to give them any more of my money. I contacted a lawyer who wrote the corperate office. The reply we got was basically that they were not going to do anything about it and that there was never any gaurantee or warranty. I could fight it but it would cost more than the job to do that with no gaurantee of satisfaction for me.
I would suggest that anyone haveing the same problem make a video (or all of us do this) and post it on all the social networks out there. See if that shakes them up a bit.
