Buyer beware! My wife had her SUV serviced here recently. These guys charged $683 for a set of $10 spark plugs (really, I'm not kidding!), $570 for a set of 3 coils that list for $113 each at the dealer, and $120 for a set of plug wires that sell for $60 at Napa auto parts. By the way, they buy all their parts at Napa but charge their customers the supposed "dealer" price for parts - their excuse being that the upcharge is to cover their warranty costs. Bottom line is that they charged my wife ~$560 over the list Napa Auto Parts cost - this is to cover their "warranty"? They must have horrendous warranty costs!. And then on top of that they charged her labor for BOTH the removal and replacement of the plugs and coils - ironically, you have to remove the coils to get to the plugs, so the plug replacement cost should have covered both. My wife had no clue until she got home and I looked at her bill. If you want to pay about 3X for your parts, go ahead, be my guest, but if not, TAKE YOUR CAR SOME PLACE ELSE! Even the dealer's cost would have been less!

Spoke with the owner today regarding the parts pricing and double labor charge and he agreed to make things right by offering a refund for a large portion of the overcharges. My wife and I appreciate this gesture and take it as a sign that the folks at Aamco-Oceanside want to do right by their customers. Despite the issues with the parts pricing, they did diagnose the problem correctly and my wife's car is running very well now.
