I wanted to let you know my experiences with Aaron's. They were prompt in delivering the products, professional, etc. I had to transition into a new job which caused our cash flow to flux. Beware that Aaron's is unable to do anything beyond 30 days. So be prepared to return the products when you go through a hard time. They would not work with me for two weeks additional. They stated I missed 4 appointments which is not true. We made a payment Sep. 6th and extended our August payment for 30 days. Unfortunately our cash flow is not steady till Oct 11th and they would not extend our lease details.

2013-09-30 I spoke with Bill Tuccio on the phone. He stated that there is nothing more he can do that we were beyond the 30 days and I asked him to send me a certified letter stating that the account is closed and that the merchandise must be returned. He said that he stated "I will immediately notify legal and get that to you."

2013-10-02. Aaron's driver came by my home while I was at work and my wife called me saying that there's an Aaron's truck outside and the driver said he's here to pick up 4 items. No paperwork, no copy of a pickup order for us to sign. He said he was told to come and pickup 4 items. My wife asked why he was picking it up and he stated "I do not know, they just said to knock on the door and take the items." I told my wife that we haven't even received a certified letter or even a regular letter stating they are demanding the return of the items. I have no problem returning the items, but I do have a problem with a lack of paperwork with any proof of what they say.

I went down to Aaron's store to make it as easy as possible to return the merchandise, and Bill Tuccio stated to me "You're a very intelligent man; I already explained it to you three times. What don't you understand?" I said, "Can I have a copy of the letter or a receipt that the account is closed and that I'm required to return the merchandise." Bill said "what else do you want?" I said "I'd like a copy of my statement of what I paid and when the payments were applied to my account." Bill said "what else do you want?" I said "I can understand that if you won't give me a pickup receipt that the driver needs to sign until he comes out, but I'd like some type of letter stating that the account is closed." Bill said "what else do you want?" By now, I see the game he's playing.

And I'm sure you know the outcome already, not only did he not provide me with ANYTHING in writing, I tried to explain that my schedule tomorrow is very tight and if they can come before a certain time they can pick up the items, but Bill cut me off by saying "Get out of my store." I thought he was joking. In all my years, I've NEVER had anyone ask me to leave. I went to say "I just want to make sure you get the merchandise back." But when I got to the word make, Bill Tuccio cut me off and stated "I said, get out of my store. I then asked Bill one more question "Does this mean you can't provide me with a statement of my account?" Once I was finished with that questions he once more said "I told you to leave my store." After the third time, understanding that he wasn't joking, I said "Ok" and I walked out of the store.

STAY TUNED... I have no idea what tomorrow will bring when the Aaron's driver shows up with probably the very basic words, 4 items picked up, with the driver signature with no reason attached to the paperwork nor any type of letter stating that the account will be closed or is closed once the merchandise is checked in at the store.

Of course..

The typical "I don't like what you are saying so I am going to say you work for the company".

Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't work for and never have worked for any Rent To Own Company.   Where if you actually looked around this site it would realize how stupid it makes you and your claims look.

But no matter how much mis-direction you attempt you can't get by the facts.  As a reminder..

The fact is that you made a payment on September 6th, which by all indications was already late due to the fact that you also had your August Payment "extended" for 30 days.  So contrary to your claims they were working with you..but EVERY company has their limits.   So when the end of September comes around..of course they are going to want payment.

You also can't get by your other typical "deadbeat" game of trying to get someone to give you paperwork.  Because if you claim you never got paperwork at the beginning it makes your claims of making such a big point of it when they are trying to pick it up a mute point.  But if you claim you did get the paperwork in the beginning everything you are claiming they never notified you of is in the paperwork you received.

Thank you for posting the real way Aaron's look at people.  The rebuttal that you posted stating "it is very obvious why you had to go to a "Rent to Own"place", sounds like you disrespect your customers from the moment they start doing business, and that Aaron's is a "white trash" company with no respect for people. Forgive me, but I have never had to deal with a "white trash" company before.  You obviously don't even look at people.

I think they should return your items back to you and cut all ties with your company. People deserve more respect that you showed.

I never thought of Aaron's in that fashion until your post.  I apperciate your sharing of Aaron's in a whole new light.  Because of that post I can now look at all "Rent To Own" companies as "white trash" and the employees who own and run them are just one thing "Bullies".

All the companies I ever dealt with worked with me.  You should never treat customers with disrespect. When I spoke with the General Manager of the store he reminded me how "Bullies" are and what they do to the "white trash" people.

Poster, return the items and seek alternates, "non-white trash" companies. If you need help just let us know.

Have a great day!

Oh yes the game HE is playing...

Sorry but it is very obvious why you had to go to a "Rent to Own" place...

Everything you want to know you got when you made the initial agreement, and you know exactly why they are at your house.  It is you who is playing the "game" to try and avoid having the items picked up.

I will guarantee you that there is a section in that initial paperwork that says if you fail to make your payments they maintain a secured interest and have the right to "reposess" the item(s) in question.    I will also guarante you that there was nothing in that paperwork that says you only had to make payments when you could.

That is unless you are really going to try and come here and say that they didn't give you any paperwork when you got the furniture.  Of course if that is the case one has to wonder why you didn't make a big thing out of not having the right paperwork when you got the furniture and am only making an issue of it when they are trying to get it back.

Oh and one other thing.  It is very likey that even if they pick up the items if you are currently delinquent..the delinqent debt probably doesn't just disappear.
