YES that is right AArons, i am taking my time at work to write this report. Because as i recall it is against the law to refuse somenes payment, and to keep HARRASSING someone by calling their jobs, contact numbers, and showing up at peoples house like if you are the MOBB! I must say, i had quite a pleasent expirience with aarons the first time i bought couches there with them, as we were paying all of our payments on time. After we were done with that we moved on to a tv, as sometimes life is a biotch it turned out our circumstances turned grey for my husband and I, and we let aarons know our situation that we had to hold off on some payments but as soon as we can we will pay them. ALSO the TV they had given us, had been put into strage bc of moving circumstances and, the TV WAS STOLEN when we went to give it back to aarons they DAY OF. we all realized the tv was gone.it was stolen. They stated they wanted us o make some type of payment, and as i recall in the law when you pay a bill i can pay $1 to a comapny and it is still considered a payment. They refused to take the payent we offered and told us we cannot pay. The sec time we attempted to pay them we had a little more and at this point aarons was TEXTING my personal cell phone and at first we had no idea who they were. they did not identify themselves they just were trying to see if i would answer the text seeing that i was NOT answering there 20 phoncalls a day they were doing. at this point we are attempting to still pay for a stolen tv which im sure anyone can understand can be very frustratong, but we were attempting with the situation we were in as well. trying to fix our broke down car to get to work, and save for new apt.  now when they were texting we asked who it was they finally identified themselves after we HAD TO ASK TWICE, and  we told them we can give them a little ore than we offered the last time. they told us we HAD to pay double. AND WE DID it was all of our money in our pockets. Long story short. it came to a point where they were calling my workplace and coming to our house ttrying to ANTE US UP! It was very invasive. I told them they can put my file into collections so that atleast collections will workout a payment plan with me. but aarons did not do that and continued to harass us. ne day when things started lookig a little brighter on our side i called them to let them know i can pa them on a certain date but they refused and told me that "when i dont pay they dont get paid. and that i did this to myself" quote!!!! i told them to put me into collections and still they refused and are still to this day calling my workplace! and family members for the money. DONT I GET SOME KIND OF LAWSUIT FOR THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR?

You may get your lawsuit

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 16, 2014

In fact you may not only get to be a DEFENDENT in a lawsuit, you may get a personal escort to the courthouse by your hard working local sheriff.  You see if at some point they don't believe that the TV was "stolen" from your storage unit they could file charges against you for theft and/or fraud.

I do always find it amazing how the more of a "deadbeat" someone is the more laws they think they know.

First of all you had a pleasent experience the first time because you actually fulfilled your agreement.  But your "deadbeat" attitude shows when you decide on your own to go against the legal agreement you signed.

You do NOT get to arbitrarilly decide when and how much to pay.  The amount and dates are stated in the legal agreement you signed.  Now if the company decides to allow you to make arrangements that is their option but the are NOT legally obligated to.  You state that a company can not refuse a payment.  So please tell us where in your agreement it states your payment was $1.

The fact is that there isn't, and there is NO law that says a company must accept a partial payment.  If you are under some misconception that as long as you pay "something" they can't come after you, you are very..very..very mistaken.  In fact it is quite the opposite.  If you look up REAL laws involving the "Statute of Limitations" you would realize that all you would actually be doing is extending the time they can file a suit against you.

What is even funnier is how you think that them sending you to collections is a good thing.  Not only is that worse for your credit, of course if your credit is already trashed I guess what is one more bad mark.  But contrary to your beliefs even they do NOT need to make "arrangements".

By the way...if you truly did want to take care of this.  You of course have been saving the amount you were going to pay them if they made arrangements right?  Because in all of this time it takes them to make the arrangements eventually you will have enough saved up to just pay it off in a lump sum.  Oh wait..no you haven't been doing that because even if they make arrangements you have no intention of paying them. You are just using the usual "deadbeat stall tacticts".

If you want to stop being "harrassed"(which you are not) then PAY YOUR BILLS.  When you do that a magical thing will happen..the calls will stop.  Perhaps instead of saving for a new apartment, you can use some of that money to pay off the debt.  After all with an active collection no legitimate apartment would rent to you anyways.

You signed an agreement with Aarons indicating you agreed to its terms...

Where in that contract did it say you could pay what and when you could?  Where did it say $1 was also a "payment?"

Then you "claim" the TV was stolen from storage.  I'm sure they believed that too.  You sure have some strange ideas on financial laws.  Just "recalling in the law" what you want to believe doesn't make it so.

PLEASE file a lawsuit and let us know how it works out for you...what could possibly go wrong?

It's no wonder you're a serial deadbeat and have to rent to get anything.  Oh, wait, I'll bet your credit rating is over 800, right...yeah, sure.

This is ALL on you.

What You're Saying Is.....

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 15, 2014

...YOU are refusing to pay what YOU agreed to pay as per the contract YOU signed.  Therefore, YOU turned on their collections efforts.  Lawsuit not needed here.  YOU paying YOUR bills on time, everytime magically gets rid of all their collections efforts.  While you're at it, learn how to use capitalization, sentence structure and basic use of the English language.

No...

No they are correct, you did this to yourself. YOU signed a contract. YOU are expected to make the CORRECT payment amount on the correct day. They are a DEADBEAT lender, this means they MUST have these predatory practices because they deal with nothing but deadbeats. When you signed the contract with them you agreed that they could do ALL of this. No its NOT illegal for them to refuse your 1$ payment. By the terms of the contract YOU signed you are expected to pay a very specific amount on a very specific day. What you did was a INSULT to the entire process. Its IS NOT Aarons job to care about YOUR personal issues. If your TV was stolen, you STILL have to pay for it. IF you cannot make a payment, they expect you to return the property to them.

They are only following the terms and conditions YOU agreed to. If you are just that concerned about a lawsuit, well then THEY will be happy to acomidate you. What YOU have done IS slander and character defamation. THEY have a nice solid lawsuit against you, all because YOU felt like running your mouth online. YOU are a PRIME example of WHY they have these processes in place. YOU went with a deadbeat lender, there are going to treat you as such. YOU couldnt make your payments ontime, so they are going to harrass you for that payment. How is ANY of this a shock or surprise to you?? Didnt you READ the contract?? Its YOUR responsibility to KNOW what is expected from YOU as a customer. Everything they are doing is perfectly legal and YOU agreed to ALL of it.

YOU have not been ripped off. In fact its the other way around. YOU have ripped them off by NOT paying. YOU are screwing with THIER paychecks. By NOT doing YOUR part and paying ontime YOU become the offender. YOU would do the same thing they are doing. If someone owed you a lot of money, YOU would be doing EVERYTHING in your power to get it back. Why is it when its done to you, do you get so offended??

I would suggest that if you do not wish to be harrassed for a payment that you make your payments on time. Thats what has caused this issue for you. You havent made your payments, they want thier money. Cause and effect. In the future I would suggest that you dont go with subprime or deadbeat lenders in future transactions. Just SAVE YOUR MONEY until you can afford outright whatever it is you wish to purchase.

Why would you expect them to give a d**n about YOUR personal life, its not thier job, its not thier responsibility, and frankly expecting them to do so is the higth of self entitlment. You are just NOT important enough for them to care one way or the other. YOUR personal life is YOUR personal life and it doesnt factor into your ability or inability to make a payment. There was no clause in the contract that YOU signed that allows you to just not make a payment because YOUR personal life has issues. Its a business and they act like one. YOU are the one who has slacked off on making payments.
