A few months ago my hard drive on my computer was malfunctioning and was tested by HP online support who said the hard drive had to be replaced. I took my pc into ABC Warehouse for warranty replacement with full disclosure and printout of HP's report on the hard drive needing replacement. My pc was returned 4 weeks later unrepaired all the service tech done was to do some of the windows udates onto the malfunctioning hard drive ( I did not need a service tech for windows updates!).

I sent a letter to corporate headquarters describing what had happened and called the store manager Ted Mathis who advised me to bring the pc in for repair and he promised that if I had to bring it back in after the repair that it would be replaced with a new computer.

I received the pc back 4 week's later immediatly some of the drivers etc microsoft would not verify I allowed it to continue and with the exception of a few small glitch's it seemed to function properly for a short time now windows will not load and I am forced to do a system recovery on it every other day this past week.

I contacted ABC Warehouse store manager Ted Mathis who now claims he never made that promise that he does not have the authority to do that and that I would have to have it sent to the service tech to determine if replacement is called for. I explained to him that we went through all that process last time and that he promised me that if I had to bring it back in again that I WOULD receive a new replacement.

he now deny's this and says he has no documentation of such agreement with me and basicly called me a liar and said I was calling him a liar for claiming he had in fact made that promise when he says he didn't. he refused to communicate with me any further on it and told me to contact cororate headquarters.

I now can not find an address or phone number for headquarters so am at a loss of what to do. I will never purchase another item from this company.

This pc is still under warranty and they refuse to honor their promise to me.

ABC WAREHOUSE Store Manager Denys Promise To Replace Calls Me a Liar Mt. Pleasant Michigan

I am still awaitng resoloution on this matter and have mailed the following letter to the store manager in an attempt to resolve this situation.

Dear Mr. Mathis,

I talked with you a month ago concerning the problems I am still having with my computer, I admit that I was frustrated and upset at the time as promise's were made to me by you that you now deny and disavow; I am not going to argue this point with you however I am not one to make such false claims or as you said "hear only what I want to hear"; regardless this is all beside the point at the moment.

If you recall the earlier problem I had, your service tech installed updates onto a malfunctioning hard drive and returned it to me unrepaired which prompted me to contact you to begin with; you were very understanding of the situation and my mistrust for your service tech to do a quality job and at that time you requested that I return it again to be repaired by your top service tech and promised that "if I had to return it again after that it would be replaced with a new one"; so I took you for your word and returned it to be repaired yet again.

My computer continues to crash, I have been informed that it is more than likely a faulty hard drive that has been installed as every attempt has been made to reformat and system recovery it and to no avail it continues to crash for no reason, I can not use the computer for my business in this condition, I do not know if your service tech purposely installed a faulty hard drive in retaliation for my contacting you concerning the prior incident or not; I am told sometimes hard drives are just plain bad to begin with so I am going to assume this is the case and leave it up to you to determine if other motives by your service tech were involved or not.

The bottom line is my computer is still under warranty and this will be the 3rd or 4th time I have had to have it serviced for the hard drive, I would like to know how you intend to honor the warranty and make thing's right? I would further like to know if some kind of extended warranty can be offered to assure the new hard drive will not again malfunction shorty after I receive it back as my current warranty will expire this next spring?

I need to receive a reply from you on this matter no later than 10/19/2007 so that this situation can be resolved.

I have since contacted the abc distrubiting center and they have given me the following address for Corporate Headquarters Complaint Dept. and am posting it here for anyone else looking for this information.
