I called the Able Water Damage Restoration on Sept 22. I told them that my house had roof leak and damaged my dry wall and carpet. Then I asked them what their charge looked like to treat it. They said they would send an estimator to take a look and he would tell me the cost. They never mentioned any charge for this estimate trip. Their technician arrived late in the morning. He took a quick look and estimated a charge of $3000 for dry-out. This was a quite big charge. I would like to have another bit. At this point they started to request a service charge of $160. I protested to them that they intentionally did not tell me this fee when I asked them their charge schedule. But they insisted I must pay $160 and threatened to put a lien on my house. To avoid this kind of trouble I paid them.
Anyway the Able Water Damage Restoration do business unethically. They intentionally did not answer my question of their charge schedule. So that they can placed a high charge when they came to the site. Their behaves should be corrected and should be discouraged. I want other customers be aware of their traps. Do NOT trust them.

Service calls are not free. No where in my adds do I say its free. At no time did I say I would come estimate it for free . This man is a flat out liar. He had most of the house wet and the dry out would have taken a week at the least to dry. We told him it would cost $3,000.00at the low end and there was visible mold everywhere. I cant help him if he is to cheep to do the job and remediate the water damage and mold damage professionally. We did not over price him, we use industrey standerds(exactomate) when it comes to priceing. I just want to say when people try to ripoff service companys and then talk bad about them after they did there job, that person is just trying to get somthing for free. there are abought 250 service companys in austin and 98% of them charge service calls os i am sorry somone like this wants to dis credit us for doing bussness . thank you
