Ace Duct Cleaning - FRAUD!!!- Chicago Area Illinois

 In March 2012 I order $99 duct cleaning using the coupon in Val Pak. I was stupid, I repeat stupid, that I allowed that very pushy sales person convince me to buy 3-year warranty packet. I agreed because I have 2 cats anda  child with allergies and that packet included not only duct cleaning, but also return cleaning and they said for 3 years they will come and clean the ducts for free (he said my name will pop up in the computer next year and they will call me to schedule an appointment). I also ordered a replacement bulb for my existing UV light system.

1. He said they don't have that bulb in stock and they have to order it and it will be here in 7 days. 4 weeks later I had to call and ask why they didn't call me. They applogized but they didn't give me a good explanation, TYhen they 3 times rescheduled to come and replaced the bulb. When they finally came, they didn't tell me they are removing my old (better and more expensive) UV system and installing new cheap one because the buld they brought was not the one fitting my system. I only found that out when they already replaced the system. I was do mad!!! Normally the technician will consult the owner before they remove something and install something else. On top of that, when I called them for the appointment, I told them to make sure they bring the right bulb and they assured me they would. Also, the technician then told me he is taking my UV system with him, because" he has to prove that he replaced the system"! I did't allow him. He was going to take my better system and sell it to someone else for more money. I called the company number and asked to speak to the owner or manager, but was told that they will call me. Never did. I called several times and fianlly got some email t write. I wrote my complain and asked to have that new system removed and to have reimbursment for everything I padi to them, but got NO resonse. I call again and again, trying to get to the owner, but was never connected to him. One time they said the owner said he can offer me 5% discount. I was so mad and determined to sue them so I refused. Never got to hiring lawer to sue them, bu now I will go and consult one.

2. They did not call in March to schedule my free appointment. I called them in early July 2013 and they said they don't call, it was my respnsiblity to call. So their representative lied last year. We scheduled the appointment for 7/21 weeks in advance. They called couple od days before the schduled appointment and said they will not be in the area and need to reschedule. Knowing that it's their MO, having that experience last year, I said it's not acceptable and I expect them to send someone on the scheduled date. SHe said that was what she was told to tell me and said she will have hmanager, who was gone for the day, call next day. Of course, no one called. On Sunday I called to see if anyone is coming for the oiginally scheduled appointment and the rep said no. I yelled at her and she said she will note my complaint and have her manager call me on MOnday. It's Tuesday today and no one called yet.

3. I have to waste my time to go after them every day until I become a pest and they do something. There is not mailing address for the business. No one calls back. No customer service. They are in the business of getting in your house with the $89 or $99 coupon and then not leaving you alone until they sell you more. And they even don't do the basic sleaning job done right. They are in the business of taking your money and runnign away. There is a name for it: THIEVES!!!

4. NEVER let Ace Duct Cleaning into your home. Pay more and get Sears clean your ducts.
