I ordered from Active Forever one time, and never again.  This company has no customer service, only belligerent phone and management people. Even though I had never worn this Lumbar Support, only tried it on-it was still in original packaging, and did not fit properly.  I only asked to exchange it for the next bigger size, instead both times I contacted them I was told that it was my mistake and NOT RETURNABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!

I was stuck with a 50 dollar item that I could not use, they did not care.  Thank God I used PayPal, I disputed the case, Active Forever held their ground, and was persistent in trying to rip me off.  PayPal agreed with me and after a lengthy dispute gave me a refund in full after I returned the item, and issued  proof of delivery.

Please save yourself the disparagement of dealing with this company-I have never had a business call me a liar before and act like they did. Active Forever is truly a nightmare, and I am sure there are may more victims like me out there, as well as the others that have complained on this site.

Yes I did get some satisfaction from paypal-they told me to ship item back so I did in ORIGINAL PACKAGING, and it never touched any skin.  Active Forever is unreasonal to deal with.  Fortuneately there are other choices for these types of items-as people find out about this company, they will lose buisness and rightfully so.

AS far as the other items go, they were shipped back to Active Forever as soon as I found out that PayPal had credited me for them on 12/8/12.  All the remaining items are in their original and unopened boxes-but Active Foreever will probably refuse them as well, because thats how they operate.  They still have no concept of customer service-Thank God for PayPal, they protect consumers from such companies.

Who ripped off who?

A purchase of a Lumbar Support, and two other items, was made 10/11/2012 and delivered  10/16/2012. The product listing clearly indicated that the Support was not returnable for hygiene reasons. This item comes in contact with the skin (which may be contaminated with contagions) and it also contains Velcro straps that can pick up dirt and both pet and human hair. The customer, knowing that the item was not returnable placed his order anyway agreeing to the terms and conditions.

10/19/2012 he called stating that the item did not fit him but also stated he never used it just as he did in his accounting. Our customer service department reminded him that the item was not returnable as it is a hygiene item. He was not happy with this answer and was vocally upset. He called numerous times and was told by most of the customer service staff including management that the item was not returnable as he had removed it from the protective retail packaging and tried it on.

10/26/2012 he contacted PayPal and filed a claim stating the following, My statement is exactly what has already been said in previous claim. This seller has no concept of customer service-instead their focus is on trying to make me out a "liar". This back support does not fit my 44 inch waist- it says in the listing that it does. I am out 46.29 plus freight, even though I ONLY asked for a simple exchange, for one that fits. I wear a 44 waist with a 34 inseam, and most of my pants fit loosely.. I did not even wear this because it did not fit properly-only tried it on. Active Forever is impossible to work with, I wouldn't be surprised if thay had a bunch of disgruntled former customers.

10/26/2012 ActiveForever replied, The manufacturer confirmed that the sizing we have listed on our website is correct. Is it possible that you did not release all the Velcro closures (there is one on each side and the one in the front)? It is much easier to fit to the wearers size when all the Velcro closures have been opened and then one at a time placed. In addition, a waist size is measured around the center of your torso (belly button location). If you measured correctly this item will fit you. Further, I retrieved this item from our retail store in Scottsdale, AZ and measured it with the assistance of a retail employee when the side tabs were released and the item was at rest (not pulled on) it measured 41". We then stretched it (lightly) and it surpassed the 44" mark. There is a tag on the inside of the item. It should Read FLA, the size and Made in Mexico. I would ask that you, measure yourself again, look at the tag to make sure the wrong support was not placed in the correct retail box, and look at the tag. I do look forward to hearing from you.

He never replied to this email and shipped the item back to our corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.

PayPal has a policy that if a customer returns an item the claim will be closed in the customers favor. Unfortunately, there is no receiving at the corporate office so the package was refused and is now back in the possession of this customer. In addition, PayPal refunded him for the entire order, not just the item that was in question.

It is safe to say that the customer, with the help of PayPal, has successfully ordered multiple products, received them, and has not paid for them.

I am certain that this customer could not have been made happy at any expense. In the end, ActiveForever is out nearly $100.00 and the customer has the product and the funds. A prime example of how businesses have to raise their prices because of fraudulent transactions.
