My daughter and wife were on holiday at Adams Street Country Lodge and were bitten all over their bodies. My daughter is still in hospital. We notified innkeeper Sandra Harris who would not give us a refund and was very rude.

I am a honest, hard-working woman who started this bed and breakfast after retiring as a school teacher. I was emailed from the Ukraine stating that if I did not pay $450, they would post that my lodge had bed bugs. I refused to pay these people and saw that they went ahead and filed a bogus report.
I contacted the local police department and attorney general of Iowa to file a complaint. They said there was no way to trace these emails from forgein countries and unfortunately nothing they could do about it. This has happened to many people and this is just one of many scams where they are trying to extort money from hard-working Americans.
I would challenge whoever posted this to give actual dates and their reservation receipt. If you would like to see "real" reviews please go to Trip Advisor.
