I was told these City Emergency Guides would have advertising from local businesses and that I would be the only real estate company among the ads. Well, I was the only re company AND the only advertiser in the Lady Lake area.

I was also misrepresented by Misty Stein who emailed me that there would be 4800 guides distributed in my area (I have this in writing) and I would receive 200 to hand out myself for a total of 5000 which I paid $499.50. She told me the city guides were distributed by the chamber of commerce welcome wagons and others such as the fire and police.

Once the guides did not arrive by their scheduled due date, I called the above so called distributors, needless to say they had never heard of such.
I became the squeaky wheel, so they finally sent me two packages of guides.

Herein lies the new problem. Every emergency number was incorrect!! Not only incorrect, but in Miami, over 300 miles from Lady Lake. I immediately contacted them via email to tell them I do not think someone in an emergency would call a first responder number which would take them 6 hours to respond, DO YOU?? I also asked WHO is distributing the other 4800.

After many non productive hours of emails and phone conversations, when they would talk to me, I felt the situation was near resolution. I took upon myself to provide them with the correct emergency numbers. I asked them to provide me a list of the area distributors for the 4800 guides. If they could not provide the list, I would accept all 5000 of the guides and expect to be refunded three quarters of the price of the guides ($374.63) since the greater portion of what I paid for was for distribution in the area as agreed by ADS. This was fair if I now had to absorb the cost and job of distribution. Not to mention, I did their job for them in finding the correct phone numbers.

I paid for their service which turned into a disaster. I never heard from them again or never received the 5000 guides I paid $499.50 for. The owner of the company, Jason Alexander, gave me his direct line 563-528-1277 and assured he would personally handle the situation. Yeah right.

I continued to email, fax, and call them occasionally, to no avail. I have a paper trail to document this situation if there are any class actions suits in progress. People like this deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law.
