ADT ADT security system interfered with my DSL, they would not work together. I had to make a choice to cancel ADT as I need my DSL for my business. ADT has not answered any of my requests for a refund of $444.30 which they charged me as an early cancellation fee. The phones calls do no good, they tell you to write to ADT, which I have done twice. Total rip-off. Aurora Colorado

I had ADT security installed in my home in Arkansas.  My DSL would stop working with no explanation.  I would call my DSL provider, they would come out, this went on several months.  DSL would work for awhile then stop.  FInally DSL traced things to my ADT security system.  I called ADT several times, they would send out a Technician, who would tell me it is my DSL.  FINALLY I had to cancel the ADT because I must have DSL for my business work.  ADT charged me without my permission $444.30 as an early cancellation fee.

 

I keep calling but they say the only way to get a refund is write the corp. office which I have done twice, no answer at all.

it is shameful for a big company like ADT to keep someone's money for something that will not work!

Andrew from ADT sent an email insinuating that WE did not prceed with ADT offering to put in more wireless apparatus.  This whole scenario had been going on for 5 months, DSL and ADT would not work together and I must have my DSL for work.

The ADT installer said that any further work he did would not work because of my location next to a hillside and the area I live in.  There was no point going on as the installer told me forget it!

Still no answer from the corporate office and only one email from Andrew who has not answered me back at all when I explained to him that what ADT offered to keep doing was not working.

ADT just refund my money that you stole and I will quit writing about you.

update, I had one email from a sales person with ADT offering $100 out of the $444 they stole.  He also said we did not try everything and had even refused what they wanted to do.  This is a lie, nothing worked and the installer said nothing else would work due to our location, ADT would continue to interfere with DSL.

I will never deal with them again and tell anyone I know do not use ADT!  you can't even talk to a person when you have a problem, they just say write to corp office in CO, they never answer of call.

How do you run a business like this?
