ADT and Advanced Design Technology Systems ADT would not let me cancel without a 225.00 fee even after my contract was over. Stating an automatic renewal Clause in the fine print of the contract. Rip off and dishonest company. You can get service for half the amount with another company Tallahassee Florida

I ordered ADT from Advanced Design Technology systems and after a while they raised the rates. Then after my contract was up the would not let me cancel because of some fine print in the contract that said I have an automatic renewal. After looking into their reputation they are con artist making a buck anyway they can and I will never use ADT again.

While the clause is in my contract it doesn't say that a termination of the auto renewal contract will have a cancelation fee. It is not clear and ADT just got sued and had to settle for their other dishonest and deceptive practices. Their stock hase been falling and they don't care about happy customers all they care about is getting your money no matter how you feel about their deception. As long as ADT contiues to have un happy customer all accross America because of their "contract" that is unclear and disceptive then their stock prices as well as moral at ADT will not be Good. You can succeed when your ripping people off everyday. Even the Lady I talked to said she talks to people everyday many times a day about the same stuff. So maybe they should look to customer satisfaction, which what should happen in America, instead of being diseptive.

I doubt you've even read it yet.  You have a time window to cancel and if not done in a timely manner is renewed for a year at a time.  I had their service, cancelled properly and was NOT charged.  I only changed because I like Vivint's equipment better. 

You weren't ripped off, just weren't careful enough.

Nope, I don't work for them, never have and no longer use their service.  BTW, Vivint and most alarm companys have the same terms in their contracts...so beware if you're signing up for another service.
