Advanced Auto Parts ripoff sold me bad wheel berring-hub assembly three times The Staff treated me very unfairly when I tried to replace the warrantied part Emmett Michigan

Advanced Auto Parts takes no responsibility for what they sell. They told me ( after selling me a bad part that could cause me to wreck and die along with my two children)That, in order to be reimbursed the 140 dollars it costs each time to install the part..That I have to write the manufacturer of the part. I am very upset with the costumer service in the Emmett store located on Columbia Avenue and also dealt with the same mistreatment at the Capital Avenue store in BattleCreek.

I was argued with and given nothing but atttitude when I tried to get a replacement part ( which was warrantied.) In a matter of months, I replaced this part three times. I was soo upset that I demanded a refund to purchase the part from a different store. Meantime have recieved no aplogy or reimbursement and they have not discontinued the part from being sold in stores. One of the parts actually broke into two peices! This is a wheel berring hub-assembly I am talking about!

That is not normal, for anyone whom is unfamiliar with this particular part. I just hope no one else ever has to deal with these people because they should realize the importance of selling good reliable parts, I actually culd have had my wheel come off and had a car accident because of this. And still, no apologies from anyone not the owner, not the district manager, no one.

Hi Vicki, i'm sorry you're having such a time with your car. I'm gonna tread on neutral territory here , i don't work for Advance and never have, I have been in auto parts for over 20 yrs .Leaving the business about a yr ago because of the customer service like you mentioned.See, i would have handled your situation, and hopefully kept you as a customer, but these guys these days(Regional managers), want someone to " do as they say" , and when they say "no refunds" , thats what they have now,,,,someone that wont give you a refund.So those people that you are so p#ss'd ,are just doing as they were told,to keep their job. NOW, what I would have done,after you came in with the SECOND "defective" bearing assembly, I would apologize for the problems you were having with the part, and i would suggest/recommend/all but insist, that rather than giving you another one,i refund your money , and let you try another brand(elsewhere) . But at the same time i would ask you to PLEASE let me know how it works out . So i really know what was going on with my parts. NOW, for the part you really don't wanna hear ,,,personally, i don't think its the parts fault... why?? because i've never seen TWO bad bearing assy's, much less THREE. BUT!!!! I would hope that when the solution is found ,i would have handled it well enough that you DID come back and let me know what the solution WAS , and IF it WAS the part, i would THEN take it up with my company and AGAIN do the right thing.If it WASN"T the part , then we'd laugh (together) about it . And the NEXT time you needed something,you wouldn't hesitate to come see me.Thank you for your time.
