I have read many of these reports and all of the google reviews and decided it was time to add my own. Please let me first say that I am not doing this for any other reason but to try and spare the lives of these horses that Marcia is sending to slaughter.

I have known Marcia DeVeny for many many years and have even boarded at her facility in the past. There are many claims on the internet and different sites that all of the people writing these bad reviews are disgruntled ex-employees or people that were "kicked out" of Marcias barn. I will first start off by saying that I left on my own after being harassed by this woman, and more importantly after witnessing first hand the horrifying treatment that these poor horses are getting. Marcia claims to be a "horse lover". If thats true folks then how could she possibly have the heart to turn 47 horses over to slaughter in 2 months? Yes 2 months! This "horse lover" has horses brought in at late hours of the night and then has a stock trailer come and pick them up the next day and takes them off to the slaughter house. A family donated 2 nice Arabians to Marcias dressage lesson program, and a week later those two arabs were dead, yes , she sold them to slaughter to make money. The sad thing is when she talked to that family she told them that the horses were doing very well at her barn, and flat out lied to them. Another one of Marcias boarders was terminally sick with cancer and asked her to please find a good home for her horse that she could no longer take care of. Marcia promised the woman she would and then turned around and sold hers to slaughter as well.

The conditions of this property may look good as far as the barns are, but dont let that fool you. The pastures are a standing mud lot. During my time boarding at this facility Marcia took in 2 horses to board for a  woman that didnt come to the barn very often. Marcia told this woman that her horses were being stalled every night and turned out every day. Little did this woman know that while she was paying for full care, her horses were really being left in the pasture 24/7 with no shelter, standing in aprox 4 inches of mud. On one occasion while I was up there in the middle of December this poor horse was lying in the mud shaking due to the horrible weather conditions, and could not get up. Marcia tried over and over to get the horse up and it still was to sick and to cold to move. A concerned boarder called the owner and told them the horses condition and the owner was in disbelief that her horses were not kept in a stall like she was paying for. In a rage the owner told Marcia she was on her way up and Marcia quickly took the 2 horses inside and placed them in a corral in the middle of the arena, telling the woman that they were out there to get some excercise.

Marcias buisness is a joke. She lives on the property and is constantly walking around drunk no matter if its 1 in the afternoon or 9 at night. There are beer cans and beer bottles lying all over the place, and you can always smell the odor of alcohol on her breath. Pretty family friendly if you ask me. She is constantly changing the horses feed because she doesnt want to lose money on the grain bags that get ripped open in her store. All of the horses are ribby in this facility, and more times then none they have no water either. There is a sweet older gentleman that works for her and does a wonderful job. At times while intoxicated people have witnessed her yelling and screaming at him in a drunken rage.

This facilty used to be one of the nicest around when it was owned by previous people. Now this facility is a middleman in the horse slaughter buisness. The owner of this place named David Myers is at fault just as much as Marcia because he has been made aware of this as well, and is still more concerned with his revenue. If you are considering boarding your horse at this place please think twice. The outside is beautiful but the inside is just a killing ground for poor innocent horses who deserve a chance at life.
