on 3/23/12 my husband called out Affordable water heaters to come and look at our Whirlpool water heater. they installed our water heater in 2005. we purchased this water heater from Lowes. The service man showed up told my husband it would cost us $600 to fix it and the $99.00 to look at it. This water heater has a 12 year warranty. my husband was very upset and asked him if he could lower the $99.00 he said no, we called his supervisor who was very rude and said no. My husband went to Home Depot purchased a new water heater and the service tec is telling us that our existing water heater is under warranty, he cannot fix it because they do not install Whirpool brand, he suggest we call Lowes to get some one out. Lowes told us no one could out for a week and then another week for the parts the do not stock whirlpoo parts. yes our water heater is under warranty and should cost us nothing to fix but no one would do it ASAP. we need a water heater, instead we had Home Depot installed our new GE water heater. I will never buy another appliance from Lowes or a Whirlpool appliance.
