I am an agent in your area. You didn't make a few things clear. 1) What was the check for? 2) How long was your policy terminated and 3) how can your bank stop payment on a check that was already funded?
I have never heard of Aflac's customer service not giving an explanation and believe me, I have heard a lot of crazy things and they always have an answer. With more information, I can get you an answer.

You did read all of my report right. If you did then you would see I was ending my policy and I was not covered but my employer sent payment when they should not have. I called Aflac and they said my employer reinstated my policy. I told Aflac they can't do that and that I'm the only one that can do that. Aflac told me I was not covered for that time they sent me a check I cashed it. Then about 10 days I got a stop payment from the bank. Aflac did not send me anything to let me know that they put a stop payment on the check

What happened was my employer quit sending payment to Aflac and Aflac sent me a cancelation notice. I told my employer that was fine and told them I was not going to keep the policy. I was not covered anymore. Then my employer sent the payment to Aflac by accident . So Aflac sent me a check for a little over 800 dollars . I went and cashed it at my bank. A few days later I get a stop payment for that check. Good thing I had the money to cover it. When I called Aflac they said my employer reinstated my policy. I ask how can they do that if I was not covered during that time. All said and done Aflac said they can't help me...

1. What Aflac policy(ies) do you have?
2. Had you filed a claim? Were you EXPETING a check?
3. Why didn't you call your Aflac agent and ask for clarification?
4. You claim you called Aflac and they said they "couldn't help you." I have a hard time believing that is all they said. I'm sure you asked WHY they put a stop-payment on the check, and furthermore, I'm sure they have you an answer. Why don't you want to reveal those deatils?
No disrepect intended, my friend, but I strongly suspect there is WHOLE LOT MORE to this story of yours than you are telling. Aflac is not some dinky little company operating out of someone's garage. They are a well respected corporation, in business continuously since 1955, and traded on the New York Stock exchange. As a publicly traded company, they are under intense scrutiny by the SEC.
No, I"m NOT an employee of Aflac. But I DO have several policies that my husband pays for through his employer. Your post caught my eye, because about 4 years ago, I received 4 or 5 more checks than I should have from Aflac (we have the Cancer plan, and once a year, I get $75 when I have my mammogram. ) I usually have it in January, I send in the form to Aflac, and I get a check about a week later. Only this time, I kept getting checks. AFter awhile, I felt guilty and called Aflac. They said I could keep the money since it was their mistake, but they were going to put a stop payment on the next check, which I hadn't even received yet. When it arrived, I tore it up.
Aflac had to have a good rason to put a stop-payment on your check. And I think you know what it is, you're just not telling. That's just my opinon anyways.

Are you an AFLAC member? Do you pay monthly payments to them? I have never heard of any insurance company putting a stop payment on a check and I worked for Healthcare company. There are just too many checks generated per week that there is no way to put a stop payment on any check/.
