aig Renters Insurance I rented an apartment in Jan 2013 moved in Aug 2013 tried to cancel this policy Sept, oct, nov, and Dec. January 2014 they Renewed the policy and have taken money from me ever since.. Jan,feb, mar, apr, may. they won't close out my account even after repeated E mails and phone calls... I will now have to close out my back account. these people are thieves. Located in florida Nationwide

I rented an apartment with City view apartments in Boston, Ma. I was told i need to have this specific insurance by city view. I called and handled the insurance over the phone and gave them my bank information. this was in Jan 2013.

I only live in boston until august 2013. I then tried to cancel the policy. I tried again in sept, Oct, Nov, Dec. the policy was only for a year. In Jan 2014 they renewed the policy. I tried to stop them by repeated phone calls and E mails. they have taken my money in Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May. I don't know what to do besides close out my checking accout which ive had now for 8 years. I am truly at a loss.

I gave them my debit card at the time I started this policy. since then I changed my card and the bank is still giving them my money. the bank (Wells farge) said that there's nothing they can do. I've tried to block this calling my bank and they said they can only put a stop payment. But they are no help either.

If you have canceled the insurance in writing, then report them to the insurance commissioner for the state where they are headquartered and for the state where you are located.

If you haven't canceled in writing, then do so and if they still continue to take money from your account, report them to the insurance commissioner.

Also, report them to the Consumer Financial Protectiom Bureau. It is crazy that you have tried to cancel for four months and they ignored your cancelation requests!
