I searched for the best price on a Canon Vixia HFM500 camcorder and found AJRichies to have the best deal. They offer to double the warranty period you buy for free, ship for free, and send you a kit containing a tripod and other items. Then I got an email saying they could not reach me and I will have to call a certain number and extension in order to process my order. My order and contact info were absolutely correct and I received NO call on my phone from them. When I called them as requested, they don't even announce their company name and then transfer you to sales. Then the rep tells you lies about how camcorders cannot be plugged into the wall to recharge them, they need a separate recharger or the hard drive will burn out. I called Crutchfield, a top notch electronics reseller to confirm that this is NOT so. AJRichies also said the battery in the camcorder would last only 20 minutes and I would need an additional one. I declined. Then he offered me 2 for one batteries and then when I said no, he offered me a 4 hour battery for only $35. I still declined. Then, 2 more days goes by. No ship confirmation after 5 days. I email them asking them about when they are shipping the order, it has been 4 days already. They send another email saying I have to call them again. So I called them. 3 times. Time #1 - customer service - put on eternal hold. #2 - sales - no answer - eternal hold. #3  - customer service, eternal hold. Then I receive another automated email that I must contact them in order to process my order. So I enter the order number and order email address on their order status checker and the order is not found. I double check. It is correct as stated in the emails from them. At this point I call the bank and put the whole event on notice about it and then send them an email that the order is not canceled, but rather is void because it does not exist in their system. The card has not been charged but I say in the email that I have discovered several complaints on ripoffreport.com and others that complain of the exact same scam occurring to them. I warn them that if the order is processed and I am charged after sending my email, we will fight the charges and that appropriate legal action will be taken. I documented everything. I am now placing an order with someone that is highly rated.
