I thought that what I was doing was helping families, until claims were going unpaid or delayed. Until customers were getting drafted wrong amounts at wrong times, or they were completely healthy and they were getting declined or rated. Until agents that I trained to work hard weren't getting paid for the dusiness they turned in. How can you expect to run a business if you don't keep the agent's and the customers happy?

Then if a person tries to speak up to make things better they are an outcast and labeled with a bad attitude.
If you are reading this do not associate yourselves with AIL in anyway. Even if ALtig thinks they are going to buy out the company they'll probably still run things the same because it has helped them to get rich and fat so far,so why change?

I believe that things are what you make when you have a fair playing ground. The playing ground is not fair there not for the agents or the customers.
The company will get shut down eventually! The law will catch up to the misrepresentations, bad accounting, back taxes, accepting cash for premium payment, twisting, rebating, forging signatures, and every other breach of their fudiciary responsibilties.

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

For Alan

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 12, 2006

Is that your best reply, that "some of your policies have bigger payouts than that (5,000)?" I don't know what is more pathetic, the fact that only "some" of your DI policies pay more than 5,000 or that any amount of fine is acceptable to you.

And, "multi-billion" dollar companies shouldn't be ventures either. I'm happy for you that you believe your going to be there for 30 or 40 years when no one around you has been there half as long yet.

It is important not to get AIL confused with Altig.

Altig is a BRANCH of AIL based in Redmond, WA. AIL's head office is in Waco, TX. and has been for over 50 years.

And - is $5000.00 really a fine? For a multi-billion dollar venture like AIL (parent company Torchmark - Info on NYSE; it's more like maybe someone discovered a spelling mistake on a dusty file somewhere. Honestly! Some of our policies have bigger payouts than that!

Geez people! No matter what you do in life, you're gonna have to sell something to someone at some point! What did you do in your last job interview. You sold yourself, didn't you? Besides, would you rather make someone else rich off your efforts (working in a JOB with a BOSS and collecting a PAYCHEQUE, which is probably not even close to what you're worth) or would you rather be an entrepreneur and succeed or fail based upon your own merits while building a future for your kids and their kids?

It seems to me that successful people are usually the top 10% of the populace. If 90% of the population is not succesful, then why should we listen to 90% of the whiners out there? Are you making a six-figure income? If you are then let me know because I want to know how you did it. If you aren't - shut up, suck it up and move on, chuckles! Personally, put me in the back pocket of a millionaire, because that's whose footsteps I want to follow!

Why should we work for 30, 40, 50 years of our lives for someone, then retire with little to no pension (check your government plans people.) and statistics say, die 5 years later!? WAKE UP! The systems that are in place econimically today, are designed to keep you poor. If hard work was the only factor in becoming financially successful, then every jackass in North America would be wealthy!

The fact is that there is another part to the equation, and those of you in the 90% category just haven't figured it out yet. WHY do people insist on taking advice from other people who are not where they want to be in life. It seems logical to me that if you are a failure and try to teach someone, that person will inevitably become a failure too.

One of the more successful people in my life shared this quote with me once;

"It is not the critic, sitting in the stands, who counts, not the man hurling comments from his seat, but the warrior who is fighting in the ring. Covered in dust, sweat and blood, although he may fail; he fails having made his best and greatest effort, so that he knows that his place will never be counted amongst those cold and timid souls of the ones who did not even try."

I have no idea who the original author of the quote was, but I've always found that it puts alot of things in perspective.

So, in short, make your choices in life. Although they may not always be the right ones, at least you are putting in an effort. AIL / Altig may not be the right vehicle for success for some people; we understand that. But just because something is not for you, or you failed without picking yourself up and continuing, don't slag those who choose to someday be successful at the thing you don't like or had failed-at.

May you be successful in whatever you choose to pursue!

AIL fined 5K in Washington State

AUTHOR: Donald - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 21, 2006

As a result of a complaint I filed about two years ago, and as a result of a LOT of communications and pushing on the state insurance office, they finally reacted. The ' negotiations' with AIL went on for nearly a year. eventually, in December 2005, AIL was fined.

Come Kelly

AUTHOR: Phil - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 18, 2006

Come on kelly, what benefits. You mean the Freedom of choice, which is a piece of paper with the company's phone number on it? Or do you meant the Health Service Discount Booklet, which are a dime a dozen and doesn't even work. Or perhaps you mean the family information guide, which is a longer piece of paper with a bunch of nonsense?

AUTHOR: Kelly - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 12, 2006

i have to ask did you ever produce the Altig min.?what are you basing your statments on? do you have proof that the members were not recieving their payout?

i mean if you are going to post on here about Altig or even American Income you should have some proof. . .did the members call you or something? if so they should have been handling it all through home office. . .which means that you didnt do your job in explaining the benifits.
