Allen Henson Photographer - Scam Artist New York, Miami Nationwide

I was seeking a photographer for some updated portfolio shots for an upcoming album release and for my website.  I had seen Mr. Henson's work on his site, and despite researching him, with nothing but controversial press regarding the Empire State Realty Trust suing him for over one million dollars earlier this year, I proceeded with hiring him for a photo shoot.  He charged me over 1,000 for the day rate which was to include editing and photoshopping of the images for my website.  Needless to say, after more than 6 weeks of waiting for the proofs, I was presented with only 30 images from the entire shoot.  After that, he told me that I could choose 10 of his pre chosen 30 images for him to photoshop.  Considering that I spent over a thousand dollars for his services, I was extremely disgusted that he couldn't provide me, his client with the entire proof portfolio which I had paid for.  

It was then over a week later that I received the 10 images sent back to me, only 7 of them were in fact edited.  It has been months later and I still have not received what he claimed to provide to me, his client for services rendered.  I subsequently had to hire another photographer who provided outstanding proofs and the complete edits of over 40 images that I asked for to be edited for less than half the cost of what Mr. Henson charged.  

I suggest that anyone that is seeking photography services by Mr. Henson do their thorough research on him.  I should have gone with with my gut instinct and opted to not move forward with him.  His unprofessional reputation is clearly proven with his legal history with the ESRT case.
