Received a call from Allied Interstate Collection asking for my wife (who has a very uncommon first name) a man identified himself as a Chad Davis. I gave her the phone basically for a period of about 20 minutes he harassed her even though she stated she had to leave for an appointment and would call him back. I (husband) called back and asked to speak to Mr. Davis. (My wife left to her appointment in tears) ...I said Mr. Davis she said this was not her account. He responded to me it is to her account. I will put you on hold and verify. I said ok.

A few minutes I waited and Mr. Davis hung the phone up on me. Within about 5 minutes he called my wife on her cell phone and eventually she came inside and handed the phone to me. (Running late now for appointment). Mr Davis said he had made a mistake. WHAT? I told him of all the problems he has caused and wasnt nice about it.  I said you should have got that straight to start with. He was brutal to both of us. I called back and complained to a supervisor a Ms Hendrixson who basically could care less.

I later Called a Joseph Westerfield, aka Operations Manager and he said she had a common name. NOT!!...He too could care less. IS THERE AN ATTORNEY OUT THERE WHO WOULD TAKE ON A CLASS ACTION ON THIS COMPANY. I am sure many dont complain they are left crying and dont know what to do. Perhaps some pay a bill they dont even owe. I wasnt nor had it ever been her bill. Somebody should suit the pants off of them. They gave us a million dollars worth of hell. Hope someone will be willing to make them pay each and every one of us. Collectors must be held accountable.

STAY OFF THE PHONE!! Never speak to a bottomfeeder!

AUTHOR: Steve - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 23, 2011

The first rule here is to STAY OFF THE PHONE!!
NEVER speak to ANY third party debt collector! NEVER DO THIS!
Speaking to a third party debt collector, aka bottomfeeder will never produce positive results for you and will usually make things worse. As you found out.

Now, I need to address the "class action lawsuit" thing.
STOP! People who spout "class action lawsuit" usually have no idea what is involved in one considering time and money. The lawyers see the majority of the benefit from one, if there is any at all, and the consumer gets next to nothing, in most cases.

You do have rights under the FDCPA which regulates third party debt collectors.

You can also file a complaint at ftc.gov.
