After a simple process to open an account with Ally for my mother in which they had no qualms of accepting her $20,000 deposit, I asked about how I could register the Durable Power of Attorney she entrusted to me. It took twenty minutes for them to figure out what a Durable Power of Attorney was. Then after giving the instructions on how to file the POA, Ally Bank locked the account without notification.
